During this safari trip you will be staying in a tent. A comfortable private camping safari with ensuite tented facilities and 1 night lodging. Marvelous mobile safaris will provide a bucket shower with warm water off the fire. Marvelous mobile safaris provides mats, chairs with backrests, safari beds, pillows, pillow cases, sheets, mess tents and bow tents. Marvelous mobile safaris’ camp hand is responsible for erecting tents and setting up the bedding. The chef prepares all meals in the camp. The destination manager will be around in the camp to oversee the staff, ensuring that they provide top notch service and ensure that guests have a healthy mood by hosting them in the camp and during game drives.

Itinerary

Day 1: Kasane

Arrive at Kasane International Airport. You will be met at the airport by a safari guide holding a sign board that reads “MARVELOUS MOBILE SAFARI”. You will then proceed to Chobe National Park, set up camp, do an afternoon game drive and overnight after dinner.

Day 2: Chobe National Park

After breakfast you will enjoy the morning sunrise on a morning game drive while searching for what nature has to offer on a daily basis. After each morning activity, you will be driven back to the camping area to have lunch and siesta time. Another game drive activity will follow in the afternoon where you will take good pictures for your sundown. The Chobe River is undoubtedly one of the beautiful rivers in Africa. Day 3: Chobe National Park

An early morning wake up call for a shower and then tea and coffee with breakfast cereals and nibbles prepares one for the early morning game drive, leaving camp just after sunrise. The morning drive heads out for game viewing and will proceed through the beautiful scenery of this part of Chobe with a very good chance of viewing buffalo, elephants and lions. Come back to the camp for lunch and then have a siesta. After your siesta you will have high tea and resume your afternoon game drive. Come back to the camp before sunset, have shower and dinner will be served.

Day 4: Savuti

Your safari will begin in the morning with a warm shower, have breakfast then you depart to Savuti where you will have the opportunity to see some of the game along the road. Your arrival time to the camp will be determined by what you see on the way. Upon arrival at the camping site, you will find your tents ready and lunch will be served before you enjoy siesta time. After siesta have high tea and resume your afternoon game drive. Later before the sunset you will drive back to the camp, have warm shower and then dinner will be served.

Day 5: Khwai

Your safari will begin in the morning with a warm shower, have breakfast then you depart for Khwai where you will have the opportunity to see some of the game along the road. Your arrival time to the camp will be determined by what you see on the way. Upon arrival at the camping site, lunch will be served at that moment, then its siesta time. After a siesta have high tea and resume your afternoon game drive.

Later before sunset you will drive back to the camp, have a warm shower and then dinner will be served. Come back to the camp before sunset, have a shower and dinner will be served around the camp fire.

Day 7: Moremi Game Reserve

Your safari will begin in the morning with a warm shower, have breakfast then you depart to Moremi Game Reserve where you will have the opportunity to see some of the game along the road. Your arrival time to the camp will be determined by what you see on the way. Upon arrival at the camping site, you will find your tents ready and lunch will be served just before siesta time. After siesta have high tea and resume your afternoon game drive.

Later before sunset you will drive back to the camp, have a warm shower and then dinner will be served. Moremi is one of the accessible areas with amazing wildlife animals and bird species.

The reserve is widely considered as the finest wildlife reserve in Africa with a diversity of habitats combining acacia and mopane woodland with floodplains and lagoons. The wildlife highlights differ from day to day and amongst them are leopards, lions, wild dogs, kudus, waterbucks, elephants, buffaloes, impalas, and rhinos. Birdlife is quite amazing in the area with birds such as secretary bird, hornbill, lapwing, vulture, African jacana, African fish eagle, hamerkop, and crested crane amongst many other species. The two nights in Moremi will be spent doing morning and afternoon game drive.

Day 8: Moremi Game Reserve

An early morning wake up call for a shower and then tea and coffee with breakfast cereals and nibbles prepares one for the early morning game drive, leaving camp just after sunrise. The morning drive heads out for game viewing and will proceed through the beautiful scenery of this part of Moremi Game Reserve with a very good chance of viewing buffalo, elephants and lions. Come back to the camp for lunch and then have siesta. After your siesta you will have high tea and resume your afternoon game drive. Come back to the camp before sunset, have shower and dinner will be served around a camp fire.

Day 9: Okavango Delta

You will begin your morning with shower, then breakfast and then be transferred to a mokoro station at Boro where you will overnight for two nights in the Okavango Delta area. Arrive at your camping area, freshen up a while in your tents, and then you can do a short nature walk, then came back to the camp and have your lunch. Go for siesta. After a siesta enjoy high tea and resume your afternoon activity. You will enjoy mokoro and nature walking safari activities and you will also witness an amazing safari experience. There will be much to see from water-based animals and other wild animals such as zebra, impala, elephant, kudu, giraffe, waterbuck, hippo, and crocodile. Birdwatching as well is quite remarkable and includes hornbill, secretary bird, crane, vulture, plovers, and doves. Come back to the camp before sunset and have a shower then dinner follows.

Day 10: Okavango Delta

Start the day with an early morning game walk, if interested, returning to the camp when ready to enjoy breakfast. After breakfast, the mekoros can be taken again to enjoy the channels, the intricate veins of waterways which interconnect the lagoons, or take a guided bush walk before having lunch or snacks. In the afternoon, the guides will take you in the mekoros to a safe location where swimming is possible in the waters of the Okavango Delta, followed by a chance to learn how to pole a mokoro using the gnashi. Time can be taken to relax and have a drink.

After the bush walk, you can relax and unwind in the camp, refresh and take dinner under the Milky Way starlit skies after which the guides and polers will narrate cultural stories and entertain with traditional dances which display animal tracking techniques and gathering methods for traditional medicinal purposes. Guests interested in astronomy will be treated to one of the most expansive displays of stars on earth, before retiring in cozy tents for the night and drifting off to the sounds of the wild.

Day 11: Maun

Have a shower, then breakfast and you will be transferred to Maun Airport to continue with other travel arrangements. Shake hands at the airport and goodbye.

Location

Chobe National Park is in northern Botswana near the vast, inland Okavango Delta. It's known for its large herds of elephants and Cape buffalo, which converge along the Chobe Riverfront in the dry months. Lions, antelopes and hippos inhabit the woods and lagoons around Linyanti Marsh. The floodable grasslands of the Savuti Marsh attract numerous bird species, plus migrating zebras.
