Windhoek Gardens Boutique Hotel (1 night)

Windhoek Gardens Boutique Hotel boasts 28 uniquely Namibian-themed rooms, each with high-speed internet and an ample workstation. All rooms are twin-bedded and have en-suite bathrooms. The gorgeously furnished modern fitted rooms combined with a restful and rustic setting.

Omaruru Game Lodge (1 night)

Omaruru Game Lodge is situated in a 3400-hectare private game park with rhinos, eland, sable, zebras, ostriches, leopards, and cheetahs. The lodge is built amid a green oasis on the banks of a river. The lodge was designed in the traditional African roundhouse style with grass roofs. The en-suite bungalows are situated around a big waterhole in the shadow of the large palm and sycamore trees and from your patio, you can watch the scenery of African wildlife.

Oppi-Koppi Restcamp (1 night)

An oasis in the desert and a quick place to enjoy yourself and recharge before continuing to Opuwo. There are 12 luxury rooms with air conditioning, two standard rooms with fans, and one family room (one double bed and two single beds).

Opuwo Country Lodge (1 night)

Opuwo Country Lodge is situated on a northwest-facing hilltop just outside the town of Opuwo. With luxury and standard accommodation, air conditioning, as well as well-appointed camping sites, the Lodge is the ideal base from which to explore the Kaokoland. Deck chairs and umbrellas set the scene for a relaxed day around the pool or a welcome respite from the heat after a hard day's drive.

Omarunga Epupa-Falls Camp (2 nights)

The peaceful flow of the river and subtle crash of the falls keep you company when staying at the special destination. Tented chalets and charming guest areas allow for a comfortable stay. With the Epupa Falls and Kunene River ensuring spectacular views.

Dolomite Camp (1 night)

Dolomite Camp consists of a spacious reception, lounge, bar, and restaurant area with a walkway leading to thatched, en suite chalets nestled amongst the rocky outcrops, which provide privacy with dramatic and panoramic landscape views. The camp’s interiors are designed to harmonize with the natural surroundings, characterized by weathered dolomite rock formations, Mopane, moringa trees, and savannah woodland.

Okaukuejo Resort (1 night)

Ideally located 17 kilometers from the southern entrance of the park. Famous for its flood-lit waterhole, where visitors can observe at close quarters a spectacle of wildlife congregating and interacting. The comfortable guest chalets have views overlooking the waterhole. The bush chalets feature double rooms or family chalets. Other facilities include a restaurant, bar, shop, swimming pool, kiosk, and camping facilities.

Otjiwa Safari Lodge (1 night)

Otjiwa Safari Lodge offers much more than the unique and fragile nature that varies from savannah to acacia forest. With a wide range of accommodation options, Otjiwa offers from humble camping to luxurious mountain-top views, with accommodation types to suit your needs. Whether it is a family getaway or a romantic honeymoon.

Program

Day 1

You will have the morning off to relax after a long flight. In the afternoon, your guide will pick you up and you will go on a city and township tour. For dinner, you will be taken to Joe's Beerhouse or similar (at your own cost), where the guide will explain the tour itinerary and where you will get to know your fellow travel mates.

Day 2

After breakfast, you will start off the journey and travel to Omaruru where you will stay the night at Omaruru Game Lodge. You have time to settle in, have lunch, and then in the afternoon, go on a game drive. After the game drive, you will get ready for dinner and then get ready to turn in for the night.

Day 3

On this day, you will be traveling to Kamanjab where you will stay at Oppi-Koppi Rest camp. Today, you will be free to relax, swim, or go on a rock painting excursion at your own cost. You will meet again at dinner and after turn in for the night.

Day 4

Early after breakfast, you will travel to Opuwo, a bit of a drive for this day. You will be staying at Opuwo Country Lodge and you can have a lovely refreshing swim after the long journey or you can explore the lodge. In the evening, you will get together for dinner with some good conversation and laughs and then turn in for the night.

Days 5 and 6

After breakfast, you will be taken to the Himba village where you will see firsthand how the Himba people live and learn more about their culture. After the activity, you will travel to Epupa where you will stay at Omarunga Epupa-Falls Camp. This afternoon, you can take part in the optional activities offered by the lodge like bird watching or just relax for the rest of the afternoon before you get ready for dinner in the evening.

In the morning after breakfast, you will be taken to Epupa Falls to view the beautiful waterfall. You will have the opportunity to go on a boat cruise. After returning to the lodge depending on the time, you can relax at the pool and later get ready for dinner before turning in for the night.

Day 7

This morning, you will travel early in the morning after having breakfast. You will be driving to the western side of Etosha to Dolomite Camp. When arriving at Etosha, you will be taken on a game drive with the Marek vehicle and guide. Take a rest after the long drive before dinner.

Day 8

Early morning, you will be taken on a morning game drive as you are going to Okaukuejo Resort. You will stop for lunch on the way. When arriving at Okaukuejo, you will be checked in and those who would like to go on an afternoon game drive in an open-view vehicle can do so at their own cost. Please notify the guide in advance.

Day 9

After breakfast, you will drive down to Otjiwa Safari Lodge where you will stay the last night. You will be taken on a sundowner drive in the late afternoon and after that get ready for dinner.

Day 10

After breakfast, you will be taken back to Windhoek to your post-tour accommodation or the airport to journey home.

Omaruru Game Lodge

Surrounded by spectacular mountain ranges and scenic landscapes, there are beautiful caves and rock painting sites and an array of wild animals including rhinos, elephants, giraffes, cheetahs, and many bird species.

Oppi-Koppi

Surroundings are home to the second largest rock site in Namibia and is home to Peet Alberts Rock Engravings. There are opportunities to see desert elephants.

Opuwo

This is the capital city of the region and the gateway to Epupa Falls. It is the central hub for the Himba culture. The surrounding area features a rich cultural heritage and beautiful landscape.

Epupa

Situated in the Kaokoland area, Epupa Falls is found. It is situated near the border of Angola. The falls consist of a series of little waterfalls which provide a beautiful recreation spot for visitors. Enjoy world-class birdwatching.

Dolomite

Situated on the western parts of Etosha, Dolomite is a new addition to the park. The area consists of several water holes where many game can be seen drinking water.

Okaukeujo

Okaukuejo Resort is most famous for its flood-lit waterholes. Here you can observe up close a spectacle of wildlife interactions.

Otjiwa

Situated in the Otjiwarongo area is surrounded by the Cheetah Conservation Fund and Waterberg Plateau. The crocodile farm with fascinating reptiles and a restaurant serving crocodile meat can be found in Otjiwarongo. Otjiwa Safari Lodge enhances the animal welfare of endangered species as well as a tremendous bird life collection.

Food

You will be served daily breakfast, dinner, and water included in the price. The restaurants at the accommodations provide all kinds of food and most dinner is a buffet. Lunch is not included in the package, however, it can be bought at the accommodations or towns where you will be staying and towns where you will be stopping while traveling.
