Join this 3-day safari in Uganda where you will visit the majestic Murchison Falls National Park, Uganda’s oldest park located at the end of the Albertine Rift Valley. Here, you will experience a breathtaking adventure through a game drive and a boat launch within the park. Also, you will visit the famous Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary to track the rhinos. You will stay for 2 nights at Red Chilli Rest Camp in Murchison Falls National Park area. You can also upgrade your accommodation to Murchison River Lodge (moderate) and Baker’s Lodge (luxury).
You will be picked up from your overnight accommodation in Kampala and head northwards via Luwero, Nakasongola and Masindi with lunch en route. You will drive to your overnight accommodation in the park via the top of the falls to view this thunderous waterfall and take memorable pictures. Dinner and overnight at either Red Chilli Rest Camp (budget), Murchison River Lodge (moderate), or Baker’s Lodge (luxury).
You will have an early breakfast and head out for a morning game drive in search of wildlife. The highlights of this game drive are giraffes, elephants, buffalos, bushbucks, reedbucks, kobs, oribi, and Jackson’s hartebeests. After lunch, you will go for a relaxed boat launch upstream on the River Nile starting at Paraa and ending at the bottom of the falls lasting for 3 hours. The highlights of this boat launch include the humongous Nile crocodiles, hippos, buffalos, and lots of bird life along the river banks. Dinner and overnight at either Red Chilli Rest Camp (budget), Murchison River Lodge (moderate), or Baker’s Lodge (luxury).
You will enjoy a relaxed breakfast and depart to Kampala with photograph stopovers along the way and a visit to the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary to track the rhinos and have lunch. Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary was established with the aim of re-introducing rhinos into Uganda’s wild after they got extinct during Uganda’s turbulent years. From Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, you will continue to Kampala to be dropped off at a place of your choice. End of Safari.
This safari will take place at Murchison Falls National Park, in Uganda. Murchison Falls National Park is Uganda’s oldest park located at the end of the Albertine Rift Valley. It is divided by the Victoria Nile, which drops 44 meters over the remnant rift valley wall, creating the dramatic Murchison Falls, the park’s center of attention. The park has hosted visitors like former British Prime Minister Winston Churchill, and the former American president, Theodore Roosevelt, and also hosts to about 451 bird species and 76 mammals. During this safari, you will also visit Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary.
