Longway Expeditions believes that they have the best, most knowledgeable, most professional driver-guides in the industry - and that much of most traveler’s feedback reflects this opinion.

Your driver-guide will ensure that you see as much wildlife as possible, assist in finding you the best photo opportunities, drive you safely around the safari locations, be available to answer your every query and generally to help you with any difficulties you encounter. You are encouraged to use your driver-guide as a ‘walking encyclopedia’: ask him not only about the wildlife but also about Tanzanian culture, its customs, and its people.

Location

Serengeti National Park

The very name Serengeti is guaranteed to bring a glint to even the most jaded traveler's eyes. It's up there in that wishlist of legendary destinations. But what distinguishes Serengeti from all its competitors is its sheer natural beauty. As water and green pasture dwindles elsewhere in the park, the northern Serengeti remains lush and verdant. All that stands between the herds and their forage is a raging river teeming with giant Nile crocodile.

Ngorongoro Crater

Ngorongoro Crater ranks right up there among Africa's must-visit wildlife destinations:One of only three UNESCO World Heritage sites in Tanzania together with Selous Game Reserve and Serengeti. Approximately 20,000 animals take haven in ‘Africa’s Garden of Eden.’ The Ngorongoro Crater is a world heritage site, the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera and is commonly referred to as the 8th wonder of the world.

The 2,000 feet high walls of the approximately 10-mile wide Crater form a natural amphitheater for the densest populations of large animals anywhere. The Crater is truly awe-inspiring and game viewing there is among the very best Africa has to offer.
