Day 1: Nairobi - Samburu
Depart from Nairobi Hotel or airport at 7 a.m. and drive north of Nairobi. This shall be a scenic journey through the tea, coffee, and sisal plantations. There will be an en-route stopover to view Mount Kenya with its snow-capped peaks. Your drive shall proceed passed the equator crossing to the semi-arid county of Samburu. Embark on your first game drive en route to our lodge or tented camp for check in and lunch. Another game drive is scheduled in the afternoon before dinner and overnight at the Sarova Shaba or similar.

Day 2: Samburu full day
This shall be a full day of unlimited wildlife viewing with a picnic lunch. Samburu National Reserve is well known to hold the special or unique six wild animals of Kenya namely; reticulated giraffe, gerenuk/giraffe gazelle, oryx gazelle, Grevy’s zebra, vulturine guinea fowl, and Somali Ostrich. Other species of mammal include the African bush elephant, African buffalo, lion, leopard, cheetah, and hyena. Over 365 species of birds have been recorded in the reserve.
The reserve also lies along River Ewaso Nyiro, a home to hippopotamuses and crocodiles. The river’s name is derived from the local community’s language meaning River of brown or muddy water. Dinner and overnight at Sarova Shaba Lodge.

Day 3: Samburu – Lake Nakuru
Early morning game and scenery viewing drive after breakfast as you exit the Samburu. There shall be a stop at the Thompson Falls at Nyahururu. Proceed to Lake Nakuru National Park. Arrival will be in time for lunch at your lodge.
In the afternoon, you will embark on a game drive in this park a birdlife heaven on the floor of the Great Rift Valley. Lake Nakuru is known for hosting some endangered but beautiful species. You’re sure to see rare Rothschild’s Giraffe along with white rhinos, especially along the lakeshore. The park is also a sanctuary for one of Kenya’s largest populations of black rhinos. Later, come back for dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 4: Lake Nakuru - Maasai Mara
After breakfast, depart Lake Nakuru and drive further along the floor of the Rift Valley with scenic views of Lake Elementaita, which is in the Great Rift Valley, from afar on the main highway to Masai Mara Game Reserve. You will pass through Narok town, a famous Masai town. You will arrive in time for lunch.
Check in at the lodge check in, and have lunch. Then have an afternoon game drive through the park in search of the lion, cheetah, elephant, buffalo, and other members of the Big Five plus other animals in the evening, come back to the camp or lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Maasai Mara full day
After breakfast, you will depart with picnic lunch boxes for a full-day game viewing in the Masai Mara Game Reserve.
A Masai Mara safari is an unmissable highlight of any holiday in Kenya. There are breathtaking panoramas in every direction, a vast range of wildlife including the Big Five, and a rich cultural heritage to explore. Kenya’s Masai Mara is, without a doubt, one of the greatest safari destinations in Africa.
Between July and October, things get busy in the Great Migration. Millions of zebra and wildebeest make the perilous crossing across the Masai Mara in search of new grazing territory. And in their wake comes a veritable horde of predators including lion and leopard. Your guide will make sure that you get the best photographic opportunities as well as enrich you with the different amazing cultural practices of the local communities of the Maasai people. Dinner and overnight at camp.

Day 6: Maasai Mara - Lake Naivasha
Early morning pre-breakfast game drive. After breakfast, depart the Mara region for Lake Naivasha with lunch en route. Arrive late afternoon with an optional boat ride at an extra cost or visit Crescent Island. Dinner and overnight at the hotel or lodge.

Day 7: Lake Naivasha - Amboseli
After breakfast, continue the tour to Hell’s Gate National Park. The park has attractions like the Olkaria and Hobley’s, two extinct volcanoes, and the obsidian forms from the cool molten lava. Within Hell’s Gate is the Hells Gate Gorge, lined with red cliffs which contains two volcanic plugs, Fisher’s Tower and Central Tower which is a smaller gorge that extends to the south and of which a path descends into hot springs. Later, depart for Amboseli National Park, arriving in the evening with dinner and overnight at Kibo Safari Camp.

Day 8: Amboseli full day
A day of game drives in this park which contains swamp grounds in which elephants and hippos bathe in abundance. A variety of plains game, antelopes, and birds can also be seen, and Mt. Kilimanjaro’s peak too if weather conditions permit. You will be provided with a picnic lunch. Dinner and overnight at the Kibo Safari Camp.

Day 9: Amboseli - Nairobi Airport
After breakfast, check out at the lodge and if weather permits you will see the view of Mount Kilimanjaro. Later, depart Amboseli Park for Nairobi with a picnic lunch served en route. Arrive in Nairobi late afternoon. You will be dropped off at the airport for your flight back home. Bid farewell to your guide with a promise to join Leobeast Tours and Safaris on another adventure!
