  • Main destination: Masai Mara National Reserve
  • Accommodation: Lenchada Tourist Camp
  • Meals & drinks: Lunch & dinner (breakfast not included), drinking water (other drinks not included)

Day 2: Maasai Mara full day

After an early breakfast, head out for a full day of game drives taking you in search of Africa’s Big Five and the plethora of other wildlife inhabiting this vast Kenyan game reserve. The Mara offers fantastic orange-tinged sunsets well worth capturing on camera.

Wherever you go in the vast Masai Mara, you will see a frequent amount of wildlife such as Masai giraffes, baboons, warthogs, bat-eared foxes, grey jackals, spotted hyenas, topis, impalas, hartebeests, wildebeests, elephants, buffaloes, zebras and hippos are also found in great numbers.

It is also common to see lions either basking after a heavy meal or surveying the plains for their next meal. Cheetahs and leopards are harder to spot but reasonably common. The ultimate action here is without doubt the annual wildebeest exodus, the Great Migration, in July through October when millions of these grass eaters move north from the Serengeti in search of greener grass.

Return for dinner and overnight at Lenchada tourist camp.

  • Main destination: Masai Mara National Reserve
  • Accommodation: Lenchada Tourist Camp
  • Meals & drinks: All meals included, drinking water (other drinks not included)

Day 3: Maasai Mara - Lake Nakuru

Early morning pre-breakfast game drive. After breakfast, depart the Mara region for Nakuru, lunch en route, with scenic views of Mt. Longmont, Lake Naivasha, and Lake Elementaita from afar on the main highway. You will arrive in Nakuru town in the evening. Dinner and overnight are at a Buraha Zenoni Resort.

  • Main destination: Lake Nakuru National Park
  • Accommodation: Buraha Zenoni Resort
  • Meals & drinks: All meals included, drinking water (other drinks not included)

Day 4: Lake Nakuru - Lake Naivasha

After breakfast you will proceed on a game drive in Lake Nakuru Park, known for its prolific bird life including flamingos. The park contains a sanctuary for the conservation of the white rhino while species like Cape Buffalo and Waterbuck can be seen near the shoreline.

Enjoy a hot lunch and drive to Naivasha. Here, you can have an optional boat ride or visit Crescent Island in this freshwater lake to go and see hippos and fish eagles at an extra cost. Dinner and overnight at Dove Nest Resort.

  • Main destination: Lake Naivasha
  • Accommodation: Dove Nest Resort
  • Meals & drinks: All meals included, drinking water (other drinks not included)

Day 5: Lake Naivasha - Nairobi

After breakfast, you will have a guided drive through the scenic Hell’s Gate National Park. The park has spectacular scenery including water-gouged gorges, towering cliffs, scrub-clad volcanoes, stark rock towers, and belching plumes of geothermal steam making it one of the most atmospheric parks in Africa.

It is the only park where visitors are permitted to walk and cycle amongst the wildlife. The park has over 100 bird species including vultures, Verreaux’s eagles, Augur buzzards, and swifts. African buffalo, zebra, eland, hartebeest, Thomson’s gazelle, and baboon are also common. The park is also home to klipspringer antelope and Chandler’s mountain reedbuck.

You will have a hot or picnic lunch before you drive back to Nairobi arriving in the afternoon.
