Check in is available from 13:00 to Le Green Udawalawe. Free bicycles can be provided upon request. You will enjoy the evening by the pool.
The safari tour will start at 05:30 in the morning. Packed breakfast will be provided. You will be able to have breakfast during the safari at designated areas in the forest. At around 09:30 you will return to the hotel. Spend some time for the pool and for snack, rest, and check out.

Udawalawe National Park lies on the boundary of Sabaragamuwa and Uva Provinces in Sri Lanka. The national park was created to provide a sanctuary for wild animals displaced by the construction of the Udawalawe Reservoir on the Walawe River, as well as to protect the catchment of the reservoir. The reserve covers 30,821 hectares (119.00 square miles) of land area and was established on 30 June 1972. Before the designation of the national park, the area was used for shifting cultivation (chena farming). The farmers were gradually removed once the national park was declared. The park is 165 kilometers (103 miles) away from Colombo. Udawalawe is an important habitat for water birds and Sri Lankan elephants. It is a popular tourist destination and the third most visited park in the country.
The Udawalawe Dam is a large irrigation dam in Udawalawe in the Southern Province of Sri Lanka. The dam consists of an embankment section and a gravity section, combining the total dam length to approximately 3.9 kilometers (2.4 miles). The dam is also used for hydroelectric power generation, powering three 2MW units, commissioned in April 1969.
The water level of the reservoir is controlled by the five tainter gate spillways located at the eastern end of the dam, with two additional spillways located more towards to the centre of the dam. The reservoir measures approximately 8.6 kilometers (5.3 miles) in length, with a maximum perpendicular width of seven kilometers (4.3 miles). You can use foot cycles for a windy visit throughout the greenery pathway.
Sri Lankan elephants are an endangered species and their survival in their natural habitats is threatened due to human activities. Elephants in the wild are constantly being killed, and many elephant calves become orphaned. In order to support these orphaned elephants, the Department of Wildlife Conservation set up the Elephant Transit Home within Udawalawe National Park with help from the Born Free Foundation. The facility was established under the 29th Amendment to the Fauna and Flora Protection Ordinance Part II.
As of 8 February 2009, 39 orphaned elephant calves were being looked after. The elephant calves are released to the jungle after they become strong enough to survive in their natural habitats. As of 2008, sixty-five elephants had been released to the jungle.
