Enjoy an exciting African safari at Kruger National Park with Kurt Safari. The Kruger National Park is one of the world’s leading nature reserve, boasting Africa’s big five and many more species of mammals, reptiles, and birds. You'll have great chances of encountering lions, elephants, leopards, and buffaloes in the park. It has many zebras, giraffe, hippos, and other species that your ranger will teach you.
You will stay at lodges at bush packers accommodation in Hazyview. The area, which is safe and clean, offers amazing meals.
You will be picked up and taken to the bush packers' accommodation in Hazyview where you will be staying for the next four nights. It is a rustic, safe, and clean backpackers' place and a mere five to 15 minutes drive from Phabeni or Numbi gate of the Kruger National Park. Amazing meals are something to look forward to. You will check in at the venue and have time to unpack and relax before you depart at 16:00 for an exhilarating night drive, returning at 20:30 for dinner and drinks before the next few days of safaris in open vehicles. The meal provided on this day is dinner.
The safari starts very early, before sunrise, to the Kruger National Park in specially-fitted open vehicles. You will enter through the Kruger Gate into one of the best wildlife areas of the Kruger National Park and spend the day on a safari with your ranger. You will visit various water holes, look-out points, and rivers. You will have your breakfast, which was pre-packed at the lodge, at a local rest camp.
After breakfast, you will continue your safari looking for the mighty big five, not missing out on over 100 mammal and 500 bird species. Your ranger will ensure the very best experience. With your guide, you'll stop for lunch at a local rest camp, where there is a great menu and continue with your safari afterwards.
You will return to the lodge late afternoon at about 16:00 after a great day on safari. You can then relax and even swim before your dinner. Be sure to retire early, as you will get up early for another great safari the next day. The meals provided on this day are breakfast and dinner.
You will have to get up before the sun rises to depart on another safari with the same ranger you had yesterday, to experience the gorgeous sunrise. You will visit a different area of the Kruger National Park where the guide will focus on finding different wildlife. You will visit various water holes, look-out points, and rivers and have a pre-packed breakfast at a local picnic venue.
After that, you will visit bird hides and look for the mighty big five again. You will stop for breakfast and lunch. It depends on the guide’s choice and the direction he chooses to take in the park. You will return to the lodge at around 16:00 for a swim, relax, and catch up on the last days of pictures and experiences. You will have dinner and get to bed before the next day’s Panorama tour. The meals provided on this day are breakfast and dinner.
Today, you will rise late in the morning. After a hearty breakfast at the backpackers, you will make your way in an air-conditioned closed vehicle towards the picturesque Mpumalanga Highveld. You will visit the world’s third largest canyon, the Blyde River Canyon, and the Three Rondavels, and a small town called Graskop where you will have lunch and do some souvenir shopping.
You will also visit Bourke’s Luck Potholes, found in the Blade River, waterfalls like Lisbon and Mac Mac falls. After a relaxing day, you'll return in the afternoon for some leisure time, a swim, and time to rest. You will have dinner and be early to bed for the next day’s early morning safari and transfer back home. The meals provided on this day are breakfast and dinner.
This is the last day of your tour. You will depart again on another safari into the Kruger National Park. This is a shorter four-hour safari, yet it will be within the best possible area in the park and the guides’ favorite safari areas. With your luggage, you'll leave the lodge to be taken back to where you were picked up from. You will be dropped off at any hotel close to the O.R. Tambo International Airport (JNB) or any Sandton Hotel. The meal provided on this day is dinner.
Kruger National Park is the second largest game reserve in Africa and the largest in South Africa. Spanning on a 360 kilometers surface, north to south, and 65 kilometers from east to west, the scenic beauty of Limpopo is situated to the west, the lush Mpumalanga to the south, and Zimbabwe to the north. It has nine entrance gates and it is home to the famous big five, little five, and the birding big six, in addition to a range of fauna and flora unique to the area.
The reserve is made up of numerous locations which provide ample accommodation in a range of lodges, tented camps, and self-catering chalets. Also available are a wide variety of tour options and safaris around the distinct and contrasting landscapes of the 18,989 square-kilometer area of the park.
