Primate Lodge Kibale’s principal edge is the location, tucked deep in the forest and right next door to the starting point for Chimpanzee tracking excursion as well as the incredible Chimpanzee Habituation, really, two of the most genuinely breath-taking wildlife experiences on the planet.
More and more travelers are discovering this amazing Simba Safari Camp with competitive prices and a fantastic location. One part is overlooking the scenic crater lakes and plains of Queen Elizabeth National Park, while on the other side the high peaks of the Rwenzori Mountains stand out against the horizon. Simba Safari Camp has a total capacity of 70 beds including family cottages, twin rooms, and dormitories. A variety of meals and drinks are served in the restaurant with an adjacent bar and sitting area. Moreover, for conservation purposes, Simba Safari Camp invites you to plant a tree that will be nourished and carry your name into eternity.
An elevated lounge area, complete with bar and dining facilities, offers a cozy, comfortable environment to discuss the day’s activities around the fireplace. Buhoma Lodge has eight comfortable cottages each with its own private veranda, offering extensive views of the forest canopy of the national park. Inside the spacious cottages have comfortable beds, a well-appointed en-suite bathroom with flushing toilet and a hot shower, some rooms have bathtubs.
On your arrival, Kubwa Five Safaris’ representative, with your name printed on an A4 paper, will welcome you to Uganda at Entebbe International Airport (EBB) and transfer you to Sky Hotel International in Kampala, located 10 kilometers from the city center towards Naalya Housing Estate. Sky Hotel International has a capacity of 29 rooms with twin beds, taking up 58 guests. There is one restaurant, which is open from 07:00 - 10:00. for breakfast. However, it is open for the rest of the day for meals. Relax in your already-booked hotel after a long flight while you are dreaming of your safari tomorrow morning at 08:00. Make your journey through the papyrus swamps and thick jungle of the Nile delta and arrive at Kibale National Park. Head out for an afternoon guided walk in the Crater Lake areas of the park. Dinner and overnight stay are at Primate Lodge.
Embark on an exciting early morning trek for chimpanzees in the thick jungle of Kibale forest. Then, drive southwards to Queen Elizabeth National Park in the afternoon with sightseeing and game viewing en-route. Dinner and overnight stay are at Simba Safari Camp.
Depart at 06:00 for a morning game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park aiming to catch the lions hunting in the morning. Lions usually hunt as the day dawns since the temperatures are cooler. You can also expect to see the Uganda kobs, elephants, buffalos, warthogs, leopards, and waterbucks. After the game drive, have lunch then enjoy a boat cruise on Kazinga channel which connects Lake Edward and Lake George. Expect to see large numbers of buffalos and hippos. Dinner and overnight stay are at Simba Safari Camp.
On this day, expect to see chimpanzees, various monkey species, olive baboon, and lions. Begin the day with breakfast, and then embark on a drive to Kyambura Gorge for a primate walk expecting to see chimpanzees, vervet monkey, olive baboon, and black and white Columbus monkey. Continue south on a game drive to Ishasha and proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. Ishasha is most famous for its tree-climbing lions. On arrival at Bwindi, embark on a foot safari around the local communities living near the park. Opportunities abound to discover the local Bakiga and Batwa pygmy people. Dinner and overnight stay are at Buhoma Lodge, situated within the Bwindi National Park, less than five minutes' walk from the gorilla trekking start point.
On this day, expect to see gorillas. After breakfast, prepare for the gorilla tracking adventure that begins at 08:00. with a briefing at the information center by the Uganda Wildlife Authority staff. You will then be guided into the jungle to track the shy primates. Gorilla tracking may take three to seven hours but it’s well worth the effort. It’s advisable to bring along a rain jacket and hiking boots. At the end of this long and exciting adventure, return to your lodge for a well-deserved shower, dinner, and rest. Dinner and overnight stay are at Buhoma Lodge.
After breakfast, transfer back to Kampala making a lunch stop en-route at Mbarara. Proceed to make another stop at the equator in Masaka to see where this imaginary line divides our planet into two equal hemispheres. Snacks, souvenirs, and photographs may be taken here. Arrive in Kampala later that evening and transferred to Entebbe International Airport (EBB) for your departure flight.

When Ray is not working, he spends time discovering the next best recipe to use to cook up a storm, from Paella to making Spanish Inspired cocktails.
He has been in the tour industry for over 7 years. He is a senior diver guide who is very familiar with all the major destinations in Uganda. His daily duties include guest transfer between airports, hotels, camps, and tourist attraction areas in Uganda. With adverse knowledge of flora and fauna, excellent driving skills, flexibility and generous smile, Peter will welcome and guide you around this wonderful country. He proudly shares his knowledge of wildlife and sites with openness and a touch of humor. What he enjoys most during his guiding tours are the sunrises and sunsets.
