During your safari holiday, you will stay for one night in comfortable bungalows in a camp in Kruger National Park, South Africa. The second night, you will stay at a lodge at a private game reserve, which can be either Sabi Sand, Timbavati, or Thornybush.

Day 1

Leaving Nelspruit at 05:00 when the birds awaken, you will travel to Kruger National Park. At the park, you will eagerly seek out the 140 mammals that live there, as well as the big five that also reside in Kruger. After game spotting, you will be rewarded with a leisurely breakfast at one of Kruger’s idyllic picnic spots before you find your way to a camp in Kruger for a bit of well-deserved rest and relaxation in your bungalow.

After the break, you will head out on a three-hour night drive hosted by one of Kruger’s expert game rangers. Upon your return, you will experience a true South African braai under the beautiful African skies as the stars shine down creating the most stunning ambiance.

Day 2

Today, you will rise as early as the animals after a fitful night sleep. You will make your way out the park over a three-hour period as you tick off those animals not yet spotted. The memories of Kruger will be firmly imprinted on your mind as you are welcomed to a stunning stay over in a private lodge situated in either Sabi Sand, Timbavati, or Thornybush.

Upon arrival, you will be given a truly royal welcome and experience the undeniable pleasure and true comfort of a game drive in an open 4 x 4 game vehicle that dares to get a lot closer to the game than in Kruger. Once game spotting is completed, you will retreat to your luxury accommodation and indulge in superb meals and discover a different outlook of conservation, noticing the differences in this reserve to that of Kruger.

Day 3

After sleeping like royalty, you will wake up to the sounds of the animals beginning a new day. You will head out for a last early morning game drive or a game walk if possible. After, you will take a leisurely drive up into the Small Drakensberg mountain range, where you will enjoy exquisite sights of God’s Window, Lisbon Falls, Bourkes Luck Potholes, and Blyde Canyon, the world’s third largest and only growing canyon.

Once you have captured the awesome sights on camera or video. You will have a well-deserved lunch at Harries Pancakes, famous for their delicious selection of mouth-watering pancakes. Please note that due to time constraints Blyde Canyon is only possible if time is on your side. You may do this part on the first day. Should there be plans to see other destinations, this could pose a time constraint. If possible, you can stay in Nelspruit once you have returned in the late afternoon.

During this safari tour, you will enjoy daily game drives, one of them at night. These drives will give you the chance to spot animals in Kruger National Park and another game reserve. You will also visit Small Drakensberg mountain range, which offers stunning views of the surroundings.

This safari takes place in Kruger National Park and another game reserve, which can be Sabi Sand, Timbavati, or Thornybush. South Africa is a large and diverse country and home to approximately 40 million people. With a size of 1,219,090 square kilometers, it is bigger than Germany, France, Italy, Texas, and California combined.

South Africa is the only country in the world with an entire floral kingdom within its boundaries, the Cape fynbos. It is flanked by the Indian Ocean on the east and the Atlantic on the west. It is bordered by Namibia to the northwest, Botswana and Zimbabwe to the north, and by Mozambique to the northeast.

Nelspruit boasts the world’s oldest caves, the Sudwala Caves, and the absolutely breathtaking God’s Window and Blyde River Canyon. The city is a true gem all South Africans feel proud of. Nelspruit is ideally positioned to allow easy and affordable access to Kruger National Park, beautiful Swaziland, and the vibrant seas of Mozambique.

The Kruger National Park is over 220 miles from north to south; it is impossible to see it all in one trip. To the west of the Kruger Park are a number of large private game reserves that share an unfenced border with the park. Together, the whole reserve is called the Greater Kruger National Park and it spans more than 2.2 million hectares of pristine wilderness.

On the first day, you will enjoy a breakfast at one of Kruger's picnic spots and a South African braai for dinner. On the second day, you will have superb meals at your accommodation. And finally, on the last day, you will taste the renowned pancake selection from Harries Pancakes.

"From day one it was a truly wonderful experience. The accommodation was comfortable and in lovely surroundings. It felt extremely safe and secure. Dave was a fabulous host and guide, he keeps you on your toes with quirky humor and genuine friendliness. Traveling through Kruger was one of the best experiences I've had. Dave is so knowledgeable about both the animals and bird life. I had heard that if there are animals to be found, Dave will find them. No truer word sad, in two days we had seen every one of the Big Five! I will be sure to encourage my friends in the US that a Safari with Dave is a must. I was sad to leave Old Vic."

"Being from a little town in Northern Ireland it was wonderful to finally see leopards, lions, giraffe, elephants, rhino and more in person. Our guide, Ceska was just brilliant. She had been in the field for 18 years and still had such a passion for what she did! She knew exactly how to approach the animals - we were literally inches away from a male elephant. We also did our panoramic tour with Ceska, again it was beautiful, getting to see the more scenic aspects of South Africa. It's difficult to put into words how great our experience was with Kruger Flexi Tours - it was just so good, to sum up, you won't be a disappointed! A well organised tour :)"

"AMAZING! They guides are very informative and nice. They joke and take you to what you wanna see and ask when you're done observing the animal or if you want to stay a bit longer. "A true once-in-a-lifetime adventure. We did the lion king tour: WOW! Started with a full day in Kruger with tons of sightings. Very nice lunch off the beaten path then settled into nice and modest accommodations in the park. We did a night tour with a Kruger guide, terrific sightings. Next day early started, lots of animals, including a whole pride of lions on a kill, almost all to ourselves. After another lunch, we settled into true luxury and excellence in service: a private reserve. I don't think five stars is enough! Food, private game drives, intimate setting. Eating breakfast while the monkeys play on the porch and a hippo walks to the watering hole. We were so close to a pride of lions we heard the cub suckling his mother! Food, drinks, and over-the-top service. Day three was another game drive and then a tour of the natural wonders of the area. Best vacation ever! Dave is organized, flexible and a genuinely friendly person. It seems like he knows everybody. The lion king tour is more pricey than the others, but it is worth every cent if you are keenly interested in the best safari experience in South Africa."

"We booked a tour at the hostel we were staying, Old Vic Travellers' Inn in Nelspruit. The tour included two days Kruger and Blyde River Canyon. We had such a great time! Dave (owner of the hostel) was a great guide, he was so excited and showed us a lot of animals. We had a 'braai' with the group at the accommodation in Kruger where we slept. The tour included a night drive in the park, which was really cool. The second day we did a short tour in Kruger and went to Blyde River Canyon. On the way there, we visited some other beautiful places such as Gods' Window. At the end of the trip, we ate some delicious pancakes at harries"

"Overall: Fantastic experience, highly recommended! My group of five (US medical students in our mid-20s) booked the two-day, one-night Kruger tour and had an amazing time. The owner and tour guide, Dave, was a great host who kept us laughing the whole time while providing lots of interesting information about the plants and animals we saw and life in South Africa."

"Kruger Tour: We were spoiled with an incredible first visit to Kruger, spotting the Big 5 (rhino, elephant, lion, leopard, and buffalo) within the first few hours, as well as at least a dozen other species, common and rare. Dave reminded us often that we were extremely lucky to have come across so many animals, and while this is true, Dave’s extensive experience with the park surely played a large part in that. I’m also confident that even if we had been particularly unlucky and seen few animals, Dave would still have made the tour entertaining and exciting. "

"Accommodations: The rooms we stayed in (camp: Lower Sabie) were quite nice, with outlets to charge our cameras, refrigerators, AC, a general store, and either communal or en-suite bathrooms and showers (towels provided). While I cannot confirm that other camps in the park where you might stay have all the same amenities, I would expect that they do."

"Food: While we embarked on a sunset or night game drive, Dave cooked up a delicious dinner that was ready when we returned. The steak, corn, and salad was a simple but perfect meal to finish of our day, leaving us satisfied and ready to rest for the early morning to come. Each morning, Dave also provided coffee, tea, and toast with butter and jam. "

"Drakkenberg or Blythe Canyon Tour: The second half of our second day, Dave took us out of the park and up into the nearby Drakkenberg mountain range. We made a few different stops, admiring tall waterfalls and breathtaking views. The view of the Three Rondavels was particularly stunning, providing numerous opportunities for great pictures."

"Tour guide: As mentioned above, Dave was absolutely fantastic. A consummate host, you can tell he takes pride in providing the best possible tours to his guests. He came highly recommended from colleagues, and I can’t recommend him enough. In addition to providing an exciting and fun tour, he went out of his way to accommodate us with short notice and a convoluted departure schedule."

"We took a three-day safari tour. All three of our guides - Dave, Siska, and Ted were so amazing, we didn't want to leave the safari."

"We managed to see all of the big five (and much more), but to say the truth, your experience with Flexi tours is special for many other reasons. All of our guides did everything they could to make us comfortable and happy. They answered all of our (many) questions and engaged in such an interesting conversation."

"We were told we came on a busy long weekend in South Africa (between elections and women's day), and that would affect our experience, but it simply didn't."

"We were also told that three days in Kruger Park were too much, but we couldn't get enough of this tour! "

"The morning tours provide breathtaking sunrises, the evenings are filled with unique sunset or night tours, and Dave makes delicious dinners, for vegetarians as well!"

"Flexi tour's guides are experienced, fascinating guides that provide the best tours to find. "

"Thank you, Dave, Siska, and Ted! We can't wait to come back!"

"Fue una experiencia maravillosa gracias a Dave y a su equipo! Muchas gracias! Pudimos ver los "big five" gracias a que Dave nos condujo por el parque en diferentes horas del día, incluyendo el amanecer y la noche! Al final de la tarde y todos los días, él mismo nos preparó una exquisita cena: el típico brai o asado africano. Lo recomiendo ampliamente. Gracias Dave."
