Program

Day 1: Arrival at Arusha

Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), you will meet Kilivel Adventure Africa's representative who will transfer you to your hotel for an overnight stay. The professional guide will then brief you about the whole safari. Dinner and overnight at Kibo Palace Hotel.

Day 2: Lake Manyara National Park

After breakfast, collect lunch boxes then drive for two hours and a half with an enroute safari with your professional drive guide to Lake Manyara National Parks. The park encompasses the northwest bank and part of the alkaline Lake Manyara which itself rests in the Great Rift Valley. The park is perhaps best known for its flamingos, pelicans, and cormorants but it is also the home for a few hundred other species of birds; it is therefore a paradise for ornithologists.

Next to a great variety of birds, the big game can also be seen. With a bit of luck, you might see elephants in the wooded regions. Lake Manyara National Park is the famous for tree-climbing lions and the beautiful lake. You will get a chance to explore and experience wildlife nature for only one day. Dinner and overnight at Rhotia Valley Tented Lodge.

Day 3: Tarangire National Park

Have breakfast and then depart to Tarangire National Park. This park is spectacular in the dry season when many of the migratory wildlife species come back to the permanent waters of the Tarangire River. Huge herds of wildebeest, zebras, elephants, elands, and oryx gather to stay in Tarangire until the onset of the rain when they migrate again to good grazing grounds.

The park is nestled to the south of the large open grass plains of southern Maasai land. It is named after the Tarangire River, which runs directly through the center of the park and is the only permanent water source for the animals. Along the banks of this river, you will find herds of wildebeest.

The park offers views of grass and floodplains with impressive baobab and flat-topped acacia trees scattered throughout. During the dry season, the park may look quite ordinary but activities continue even more earnestly due to the now increased competition. Dinner and overnight at Rhotia Valley Tented Lodge.

Day 4: Serengeti National Park

Have breakfast and after proceed to the endless plains of the Serengeti by way of the lush Ngorongoro Crater highlands with fertile soils that grow crops like wheat, corn, as well as coffee. This name Serengeti comes from the maasai word ‘Siringit’ which means endless plains.

You will also view its ocean of grassland savannah that stretches to the Horizon as far as your eyes can view. The ecosystems of the Serengeti is also one of the oldest and most well preserved on earth with essential features of the

climate, vegetation, fauna, and flora which have barely changed in the past million years. Late in the evening, drive to the camp for an evening leisure as well as a hot dinner. Dinner and overnight at Embalakai Authentic Camp.

Day 5: Ngorongoro Conservation Area

Have breakfast and after proceed for a picnic lunch for the final game drive with in the Serengeti. After lunch, you will drive in the direction of the Ngorongoro Crater. You will do game drives on your way to Ngorongoro Conservation Area while crossing the Central Serengeti and the Seronera Valley famous for many animals that can be viewed in Central Serengeti as well as a lot of birdlife in the area.

If you wish, you may go straight to the Ngorongoro Crater rim where you can get out of the safari car so that you can enjoy the view while having a walking safari along the crater rim for around two full hours (please request for this in advance). After, you will proceed to the lodge to have leisure and a hot dinner. Dinner and overnight at Rhotia Valley Tented Lodge.

Day 6: Arusha National Park - Arusha

Enjoy a half-day safari in the Arusha National Park, one of the richest wildlife parks in Tanzania. Embark on an exciting game drive and look out for giraffes, zebra, elephants, and more with breathtaking vistas of Mount Kilimanjaro in the distance.

After, having lunch, your guide will drive you back to Arusha then to Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) for your flight back home (depending on your flight schedule).
