Daily itinerary

Day 1: Londorossi Gate - Big Tree Camp

Begin the trek at Londorossi Gate, the starting point of the Lemosho Route. Traverse through pristine rainforests teeming with wildlife, including colobus monkeys. Arrive at Big Tree Camp (Mti Mkubwa) at 2,780 meters (9,121 feet) and settle in for the night amidst the lush vegetation.

Day 2: Big Tree Camp - Shira 1 Camp

Ascend through the rainforest, gradually emerging into the heath and moorland zones. Enjoy stunning views of the Shira Plateau and surrounding peaks. Reach Shira 1 Camp at 3,505 meters (11,499 feet), where you will be greeted by expansive vistas and a sense of accomplishment.

Begin the ascent in the early hours of the morning, aiming to reach Uhuru Peak (5,895 meters / 19,341 feet) at sunrise. Experience the euphoria of standing on the Roof of Africa and witnessing the breathtaking sunrise over the African plains. Descend to Mweka Camp at 3,100 meters (10,170 feet), where you will celebrate your summit success and reflect on your incredible journey.
