During this 4-day lodge safari you will visit three of the most well-known reserves on Tanzania’s “northern circuit” – the Tarangire National Park, the Ngorongoro Crater and the Serengeti National Park. With all the diverse landscapes and a crater full of animals, this safari has something for everyone and is ideal for those with limited time.
During this safari, you will stay at various accommodations. The first and the third night will be spent at Eileen's Trees Inn in Karatu and the second one at Serengeti Embalakai Tented Camp in central Serengeti National Park.
Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport, you will be welcomed by kiliholidays transfer driver and taken to Jevas hotel (https://www.jevashotel.com/ ) within Arusha. The rest of the day will be at leisure and you can either relax at the hotel or explore the city with our local guide. Bed and Breakfast
In the morning, you will be collected from your hotel in Arusha and make your way to Tarangire National Park, known for its large elephant herds. From the open roof of the vehicle, you will scan the seasonal swamps, savannah, and the Tarangire River in search of zebras, wildebeests, buffaloes, hartebeest, elephants, giraffes, waterbuck, and reedbucks.
With a bit of luck, you will catch a glimpse of a lion stalking its prey or leopards lying lazily in the trees above. After an extensive game drive, having experienced the various sights and sounds of the wilderness, you will leave the park and head to Eileen's Trees Inn or Similar, where you will stay the evening. Lunch and Dinner will be included.
After the breakfast plates have been cleared, you will continue toward the fertile highland where wheat, coffee, and corn are grown by the Iraqw people. Passing through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, you will be able to see the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater before traveling onward to the Serengeti National Park, which you will reach by midday. Game view en route toward to the Serengeti Park.
The Serengeti National Park is the largest park in Tanzania, with a diversity of landscapes and habitats, such as grassy plains, swamps, lakes, savannah, and mountains. The biggest wildebeest and zebra migration takes place here and, depending on the season, you will have the opportunity to witness thousands of animals in their search for nourishment. You will spend the night at Serengeti Embalakai Tented Camp or Similar in the Seronera area in central Serengeti. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner will be included.
Your day will start with a morning game drive in central Serengeti. For animals, that is an active time of the day and it is not hot yet, so there is a lot to see out there until 11:30 a.m. Then, you will return back to the camp for brunch.
On your way back, you will stop at Oldupai Gorge (OPTIONAL ) if there is time. It will be 55 USD per person. It is a fascinating archaeological site you will visit if you are interested in history and the Masai tribe. Dinner and overnight stay will be at Eileen's Trees Inn or similar.
After an early breakfast you will drive down the steep and narrow road that takes you into the crater. The slopes are forested but soon the landscape changes to savannah. Here the wildlife is just breath-taking and with a little luck you can observe the Big Five – lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino and leopard – in just a few hours. You should also see warthogs, wildebeests, zebras, hippos and some of the more than 500 bird species of the area. After a morning dedicated to game viewing and a picnic lunch, you will leave the crater in the early afternoon to drive back to Arusha, where you will arrive in the early evening and overnight at Jevas Hotel.

Some things are worth getting up early for and this is certainly one of them. Rising before the birds and heading out in the silence of the pre-dawn towards the launch-site is all part of the anticipation. Perhaps one of the Serengeti’s more elusive inhabitants will be caught in the headlights on this nocturnal game drive.
