Pick up from your hotel in Arusha at 07:30 a.m. and drive on a tarmac road 38 km to Arusha National Park (552 km2) with packed lunch. Over 400 species recorded in such a small park is quite an impressive count. A combination of the forest reserve, the Momella Lakes and the Ngurdoto crater does the magic. Lake Momella is one of the best places in Tanzania to see waterbirds, flamingo, pelican, little grebe, a variety of herons, ducks and waders are common. Also hart lab, turaco, eagles, lesser and greater flamingos, p orchards, geese, hammer kop, red shark, spur winged goose, woodpecker, secretary bird, grey parrot. Other animals such as zebras, elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, water bucks, colobus monkey, vervet monkeys, baboons and many others reside here. Dinner and overnight at Charity Hotel
After breakfast starting safari from Arusha to Tarangire National Park. Tarangire National Park is famous for its dense wildlife population, which is most spectacular between June and September, the dry period. During this time thousands of animals - wildebeest, buffalo, and Oryx migrate from the dry Maasai steeple to the Tarangire River looking for water. Lions, leopards and other predators follow the herds. Tarangire is home to over 500 varieties of birds. Have lunch and take a late afternoon game viewing and drive to the lodge for dinner and overnight at Marera Valley Lodge.
After breakfast you drive on a tarmac road 40 km with a lunch box to Lake Manyara National Park for afternoon game drives. Start the game drive through an underground water forest, proceed to Acacia woodland savanna open land, pass by a hot water spring, and proceed to Lake Manyara. Lake Manyara is home to many flamingos and other water birds. The park is home to tree climbing lions, hippo, elephant, zebra, buffalo, giraffe, baboon, blue and velvet monkey, warthog, and more. About 350 species of birds have been recorded here. You will have a picnic lunch, dinner, and overnight at Marera Valley Lodge.
After early breakfast you leave for Serengeti National Park, driving through Ngorongoro Conservation Area, with the option of visiting Olduvai Gorge (known as cradle of mankind the hominids dating 2 millions years back). The game drive takes you to the vast Serengeti plains home of the big game animals, the predators, great migration and the Nile crocodiles. At sunset have dinner and overnight at Serengeti Heritage Luxury Tented Lodge.
After breakfast you start the day with a morning game drive in Serengeti National Park marveling at the stunning scenery, ever changing light and always entertaining wildlife, all explained to you by your expert guide with the optional picnic or hot lunch at 12:30 a.m. And after lunch you set off again for afternoon game drives that take you till sunset 06:30 p.m. Drive back to the camp for dinner and overnight at Serengeti Heritage Luxury Tented Lodge
After breakfast go for a morning and afternoon game drive in the park. In the afternoon, you will continue with game viewing to the north east of the park. This is the LOBO area where the main path of the Serengeti Wildebeest migration has passed. Dinner and overnight is at Northern Serengeti Heritage Luxury Tented Camp.
This day you will leave after breakfast and with lunch packed you will drive as you follow the migrations paths depending on the location. You will spend the day following the great migration of about 1.5 millions wildebeests and 500,000 zebras migrating through the Serengeti Ecosystem. Dangers are everywhere and packs of lions, cheetah, and other carnivores are everywhere waiting for the right moment to strike. Crocodiles in the Serengeti river have no mercy as the herds cross the river. Thousands are swept by the arrogant waters and the scenes are amazing. Later in the early evening you will drive to Mara Heritage Tented Camp for dinner and overnight.
After breakfast, depart from Serengeti Ngorongoro Crater Rim. Wake up for early morning game drives in Serengeti then head back to the campsite for breakfast. You will then check out and drive with lunch and game viewing en route to Ngorongoro Crater rim for dinner and overnight in Ngorongoro Ang'ata Camp.
Wake up early in the morning for breakfast and then descend into the crater floor for game drives. All the big five (rhino, lion, buffalo, and elephant) live in this wonderful caldera. Others that live here are zebra, hippo, wildebeest, hyena, and more. Birds include flamingos on the Soda lake, geese, storks, vultures, and more. Your lunch will be served in the picnic site in the Crater at Ngoitoktok swamp, a hippo pool. After lunch, drive back to Arusha.
