Program

Day 1: Arusha - Tarangire National Park

Leave Arusha town soon for Tarangire National Park. Lured by its winding river in the dry season, herds of animals pour into this park which boasts the highest recorded number of breeding species for any habitat in the world. The park boasts a huge elephant population. Rolling hills and an open savanna dotted with the majestic upside down baobab trees, believed by the Maasai to be the first tree of creation, offer a picturesque background.

Dinner and overnight will be at Marera Valley Lodge.

Day 2: Marera - Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, set off to Serengeti National Park with an optional tour of Olduvai Gorge. Serengeti National Park is truly Tanzania’s best-known park. It contains up to three million large animals. Wildebeests, zebras, and Thomson gazelles make their continental migration in search of greener pastures within the endless plains of the Serengeti. The immensity of these plains is truly overwhelming.

Dinner and overnight will be at Serengeti Heritage Tented Camp.

Day 3: Serengeti National Park - Ngorongoro Crater

Enjoy an early morning game drive, when the wildlife is most active. After breakfast, continue game viewing until lunchtime. Lunch will be followed by a drive to Ngorongoro Crater with an optional tour of Olduvai Gorge.

Dinner and overnight will be at Ngorongoro Ang'ata Tented Camp .

Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater - Lake Manyara National Park

After breakfast, descend down the crater pass through a dense green canopy of forest and hold your breath. The entire world is laid out below in the largest perfect caldera. The 11 miles (18 kilometers) wide crater has been compared with the Garden of Eden, with its swamps, lakes, rivers, hills, and its prolific animal kingdom. The exhilarating drive from the crater rim down 2.000 feet into the crater is truly unforgettable.

Later in the afternoon, you will ascend to and driver for dinner and overnight at Marera Valley Lodge.

Day 5: Lake Manyara National Park - Arusha

After breakfast, enjoy a game drive in Lake Manyara National Park. The park offers dramatic views over lush groundwater-fed forests and the stunning Lake Manyara. The forests are thick with mahogany, sausage trees, star grass, and other impressive varieties of flora. Wildlife is abundant, with over 380 species of birds. You can also experience a canoe trip on the hippo-filled lake. In the afternoon, you will be transferred to Arusha.

Lake Manyara National Park

Lake Manyara National Park offers a wilderness experience in diverse habitats, from its Rift Valley soda lake to dense woodlands and steep mountainsides. Apart from a spectacular setting, the park is famous for its unusual tree-climbing lions and the vast elephant herds it was established to protect.

The shores of the lake, encrusted with pink flamingo, attract more than 400 species of birds, many of them waterfowl or migrants. Large herds of buffalo, cheetah, Masai giraffe and impala roam the lake shores and the forested valley slopes.

Ngorongoro Crater

The Ngorongoro Crater was once a gigantic volcano. It is the largest intact caldera in the world. The Ngorongoro crater is a deep, volcanic caldera a breathtaking natural wonder. Before it erupted, it would have been higher than Mt Kilimanjaro.

Today, long since having collapsed and eroded, it is an extensive highland area with 600 meters deep Ngorongoro Crater. Nearly three million years old, the ancient caldera shelters one of the most beautiful wildlife havens on earth.

Serengeti National Park

Serengeti is the most ancient and immensely famous park. Serengeti is hugely known for its annual migration. You can witness around six million hooves keep on hitting the open plains. There are also sights such as 300,000 Thomson’s gazelle, 200,000 zebra coming together along with the wildebeests' trek to feed on grassland.

It is really hard to confine the attractions of Serengeti to migration alone. Enjoy sparkling game-viewing experience in Africa, Serengeti national park tours is the place to go. There are numerous Grants gazelle, impala, kongoni, topi, elands, giraffes, small groups of elephants, large herds of buffalo and many more.

Tarangire National Park

Tarangire National Park is the sixth-largest national park in Tanzania. The national park is at Manyara Region. The name originates from Tarangire river that crosses in the park. The only source of water for wild animals during dry seasons.

Dry season animals migrate to Tarangire National Park from Manyara National Park. The landscape and vegetation are incredibly diverse with a mix that is not found anywhere else in the northern parks. The hilly landscape has vast numbers of Baobab trees, dense bush and high grasses.
