I decided to head to Kiambi very last minute--they were extremely accommodating and made sure that I had an unforgettable weekend. Janine and her team are incredibly dedicated - they were so welcoming from the moment I arrived. The accommodations are very comfortable and the food is excellent. Although it was raining the entire day of my safari I had a wonderful time! The guide was extremely knowledgeable and found lions and leopards for our group. The canoe trip down the Zambezi was also incredible - we watched hundreds of buffalo cross the river from a few feet away, and glided past hippos and crocodiles. Not to mention the beautiful view - enjoy a stunning sunset as you luxuriate at the bar - or from the porch of your tented chalet. I can't wait to come back!

We stayed 3 nights on the campground with a beautiful view on the Zambezi. Great and spacious camping with all you need: campfire, cooking place, water, electricity and clean ablution blocks. Free WIFI if needed. A sundowner on the veranda overlooking the Zambezi is a must. The staff was very friendly and the cook spoiled us with a great dinner! We can really recommend the game drive offer of the lodge – even though expensive it is the best way to arrive at the Lower Zambezi NP without the need of a long drive on gravel to the NP (they go by boat to the beginning of the NP). Especially the Canoe Tour on the Zambezi was a wonderful happening – don’t miss it.
