The comfortable air-conditioned Rafflesia Bungalows have a big bed, private terrace with beautiful river and mountain view. The bungalows sleep up to two people. This air-conditioned Triple Family Chang Bungalow has one big queen size bed and one single bed, which is comfortable for three people and a private balcony with beautiful river and mountain view. Take your longtail boat out to the floating raft house and check in to your simple, but comfortable floating bungalow on the lake. You can swim and kayak, directly from the deck outside your bungalow. Around 12:00 p.m., you will be served your Thai set lunch. After lunch, your guide will take you on a trek through the forest to explore the caves of the lake. The trek will take around two hours and is suitable for almost all levels.
Your guide will bring you to see either Tam Nam Lu Cave. There, you will get wet as the water can reach up to chest level, as you make your way into this cave. Or to the Diamond Coral Caves, these caves are filled with stalactites and stalagmites, truly an amazing sight. Please be careful in the cave and do not touch or break these formations, as they take centuries to form.
After your trek, you have time to relax, before enjoying your Thai set dinner in the peaceful surroundings of the lake. After dinner, your guide will take you on an exciting night safari, walking through the dense forest, on the look-out for the animals, which come out to hunt in the cool of the evening. After that, you will return to your floating bungalow and enjoy a night of peaceful sleep, with only the noise of the lake and the wildlife, to send you to sleep.
Awake to the beautiful surroundings of the lake and take the long tail boat on an early morning boat safari to see, wild macaque monkeys, gibbons, and, if you are lucky, dusky languors. The morning is the best time to see wildlife and birds, before the heat of the day. Return to the raft house and enjoy your freshly prepared breakfast.
After breakfast, you can enjoy another trek in the dense forests, to a spectacular viewpoint, remember to take your camera. You can enjoy lunch back at the raft house before preparing your bags for the journey back to the resort or your onward destination.
The night safari is a great experience as most of the Khao Sok’s wildlife come out to hunt at night with the cooler weather. An experienced night safari guide will take you through the jungle and may see some amazing animals. The night safari is really a surreal night of fun and a great experience.
Jungle treks are an amazing experience and something you won’t forget any time soon. Discover what nature has to offer Trek through the Khao Sok jungle with one of English speaking guides. It’s advisable to go with one of the experienced guides as they can spot the snakes and any other animals that the untrained eye would miss. You can also learn what to look out for, what you can eat to survive.
Take a vigorous trek through the jungle on the breathtaking Nam Talu Cave trail which crisscrosses the river and winds deep into the interior of Khao Sok National Park. Along the way, your guide will explain the unique history of the region and its cultural significance, pointing out such magnificent creatures as Jurassic insects, butterflies, and rare birds.
Next, you’ll strap on your headlamps and prepare to get wet, as the hike extends through the “water cave” (dry season only) and soon becomes a dark wonderland. This is an excellent time to view the many nocturnal species that inhabit this cave (from a safe distance of course) and cool yourself in the river as you explore. Оne hour trek to the Nam Talu Cave can see palm-sized butterflies swarming along small streams and other small animals and insects.
Follow a small stream coming out of the cave and soon the only light will that from your headlamps. You can see bats, spiders, and crabs in the dark.
This cave has spectacular stalactite formations and a private alcove for disembarking. It is one of Khao Sok Lake’s many beautiful caves and located conveniently close to Klong Ka and Klong Long. If you want to see a cave, but aren’t interested in hiking through the jungle for hours, this may be the place for you. Families and larger groups alike enjoy the serenity of this location.

From Surat Thani International Airport (URT), you will first need to get to the city of Surat Thani (40 minutes and 100 THB per person). From the city of Surat Thani, minibusses go to Khao Sok every hour from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The cost is 250 THB per person and two hours.
While coming back, the resort can reserve a place for you in a public minibus that goes from Khao Sok to the airport and the city of Surat Thani! The cost is 200 THB to the airport and 150 THB per person to the city of Surat Thani (Talat Mai). The first minivan leaves at 6:00 a.m. and then at 4:00 p.m. departing every hour.
Bus from Krabi to Khao Sok only once a day at 11:00 a.m. and it arrives at Khao Sok bus station at 2:30 p.m. You need to make a transfer in the city of Krabi, a stop for a toilet for 30 minutes and through the province of Phan Nga and through Khao Lak. The journey takes 4.5 hours and costs 300 THB per person.
A direct bus from Khao Sok to Krabi is only once a day at 8:30 a.m. straight. At 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m, you need to transfer to either Surat Thani or Phang Nga (via Khao Lak). The resort can reserve a place for you in a city minibus that goes from Khao Sok to Nang Ao at 450 THB. The place is not far from the pier but the island of Phi Phi costs 350 THB, Pier on the island of Lanta costs 700 THB.
If you travel by public transport, you do not need to go to the Khao Sok bus station, you need to ask the driver to stop on the main road to Khao Sok National Park, highway 401, namely 82 kilometers. This place is also called Sapan Klong Baman, near the school Song Phi Nong (about one kilometer). If you have a local SIM card, you can call the resort and they will explain the driver where you need to exit. But since this is not a designated bus stop, check to see if the driver understood you correctly.
On the main road, there is a blue sign with the resort name. From there, you need to go on a country road 400 meters to the resort. The resort staff can meet you on the road, but if you tell them the exact time of your arrival, the swami will be connected, and at the time of your arrival, transport service can be arranged to meet you though most of the guests can easily walk.
