During your safari, you will stay for a night at Sarova Salt Lick Game Lodge in Tsavo West National Park and the remaining days in the lodges or camps in Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary and Amboseli National Park.
Kenyan Traveltours will pick you up from your hotel at 07:15. Then, you will drive inland along the Mombasa / Nairobi Highway to Taita Hills, Saltlick. On the way, you will be allowed for a stopover refreshments and call of nature for 15 minutes.
After that, you will be proceed to Taita Hills Lodge for a game drive until the lunch time. After lunch, you will have an opportunity to relax until 16:00, then enjoy the evening game drive. At 18:00, you will check-in at Saltlick Lodge for dinner and stay overnight.
In the early morning, you will enjoy your breakfast at the lodge and then go for a game on-route. You will leave Tsavo East National Pak to Amboseli National Park for a short game drive. After that, you will check-in at your lodge or camp in Amboseli National Park and having lunch and rest.
In the afternoon, you will enjoy a game drive at Amboseli National Park which is famous for its scenery with a backdrop of snow-capped Mount Kilimanjaro. You will enjoy dinner and stay overnight at your lodge or camp.
You will wake up early and enjoy your breakfast. You will start an early-morning game drive on-route, looking out for predators on the hunt, such as cheetahs, leopards, lions, and jumbo elephants. After that, you will check-out from your lodge or camp in Amboseli Park and drive to Tsavo West National Park. You will experience a game drive to Shetani Lava Flow and Mzima Springs where you will have a game-walk to look for crocodiles, hippos, and fishes.
Then, you will drive to your lodge in Tsavo West National Park to check-in, lunch, and relax. In the afternoon, you will back to the park for game tracking. You will drive near the waterholes where animals come to quench their thirst and then visit the Rhino Sanctuary. You will return to the lodge at around 18:00 for a relaxing time, dinner, and overnight stay.
After breakfast, you will check-out from your lodge and enjoy a morning game drive to see animals you didn't see in the previous days. You will then drive back to your hotel in Mombasa and enjoy your lunch there.
Your safari will take place in Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary, Amboseli National Park, and Tsavo West National Park in Kenya. You will also visit Tsavo West National Park during your game drives.
Tsavo East National Park is one of Kenya's oldest and largest national parks at the eastern edge of the inland plateau. Here, you will find the bushy grasslands and rocky open plains alternating with semi-arid acacia scrub and woodland, with the Galana River cutting a green swathe across the park. The view is exceptional and is a good place to sit and watch the game.
Tsavo West National Park offers tremendous views and divers habitats ranging from mountains, river forest, plains, lakes, and wooded grassland. It's especially attractive in the rain season as the countryside turns green. Mzima Springs is a pool of natural spring water that attracts a lot of game and there is even an underwater hippo-viewing hide. Tsavo West National Park is known for its 'Roaring Rocks', which gives the views that is usually only seen by the eagles and buzzards that whirl around these cliffs.
The park is 39,206 hectares in size at the core of an 8,000 square kilometers ecosystem that spreads across the Kenya - Tanzania border. The park is famous for being the best place in Africa to get close to free-ranging elephants among other wildlife species. Other attraction of the park includes the opportunities to meet the Maasai people and the spectacular views of Mount Kilimanjaro.
Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary is a privately owned wildlife sanctuary in Kenya. It is located in the Coast Province, 220 kilometers from Mombasa. The sanctuary covers an area of 110 square kilometers, and is adjacent to Tsavo West National Park. The variety of animals live here are often easier to spot than those in the larger Tsavo Parks.
