The 7 Days Maasai Mara, Lake Nakuru, Amboseli budget camping safari is a safari that will give you a better chance to explore the famous Maasai Mara which is well known for its annual wildebeest migration and the big five animals. It will also give you a better chance to view the walls of the great valley and bird watching in Lake Nakuru, proceed to Amboseli where you will see the view immense of Mt. Kilimanjaro and large herds of elephants within the best budget camps which are comfortable.
Safari accommodations
Accommodations on safari are usually a combination of lodges and permanent or mobile tented camps. "In the bush", and miles from civilization, these luxury camps and lodges are all unique and in amazing settings. Lodge rooms have complete bathroom amenities as do most permanent tented camps. Mobile camps can have either private en-suite facilities or shared bathrooms and shower tents. Unless you are in a major city, there will be no TV or phones with outside lines. Electric lights, running on generators, are generally lit for a few hours in the early morning and from dark until 10 or 11 PM.
You shall be picked up from your hotel in Nairobi early morning and depart to Masai Mara Game Reserve through the Great Rift Valley. There will be a brief stopover at the viewpoint of the Rift Valley, from where you can see a spectacular view of the Rift Valley floor and its beautiful landscape. You will also stop at Narok town for a break and refueling.
Arrive in time for lunch; take lunch at the camp as you relax before proceeding to the afternoon game drive. Proceed with the afternoon game drive thereafter through the park in search of animals popularly known for the wildebeest migration from Serengeti in Tanzania in July-October.
Be keen to spot the wildebeests, zebras, lions, cheetahs, elephants, buffalos, Thompson’s gazelle, hyena, black-backed and side-striped jackals, impala, bat-eared foxes, baboons, warthog, Thompson’s gazelle, Grant’s gazelle, waterbuck, reed-buck, hippos, crocodiles, and elands.

Enjoy a full-day game viewing as you explore this spectacular park. The Mara is the land of African legend: Lions are abundant throughout the park, as are the elephants, giraffes, and a variety of gazelle species and zebra. Cheetahs and leopards are also regularly seen and, less commonly, rhinos.
The annual wildebeest migration, one of nature's few remaining wildlife spectacles, occurs in the Mara from July to September where the big animals and their predators are to be present in abundance during the time frame of this trip. Several species of Bee-Eater, the flying rainbow that heads the list of Mara's birds, occur in the reserve.

After breakfast, leave the camp with packed picnic lunch for both the morning and evening game drive in this reserve which is essentially the Northern extension of Tanzanians Serengeti National Park. Visit the river Mara and River Talek cutting through the park and the source of water for the animals. Here you will have a chance to see the hippos and crocodiles.
The annual wildebeest and zebras migration happens along the river Mara. You may be lucky to witness the crossing and the struggle for survival as the animals avoid the hungry crocodiles and hippos waiting to feed on them. The Masai Mara is also home to many members of the colorful Masai tribe who may be seen around the borders of the park - Moran’s (warriors) loping across the plains, young boys herding goats, or elders grouped under a tree discussing matters of the day.
A visit to a Masai boma (homestead) reveals this outstanding culture and customs (optional).

Take an early morning breakfast and go for a final morning game drive. Enjoy the cool morning game drive around the park with better chances of spotting the animals as they graze or hunt before the sunrises. After the game drive, check out of the camp and also from the park's gate and depart for Nakuru taking lunch en route. Upon arrival, check in at camp and proceed with the afternoon game drive to see one of the largest ornithological spots, millions of the greater and the lesser flamingos, and over 450 bird species. You will have an opportunity to encounter a variety of wildlife: the endangered white rhino and black rhino found in this park, Columbus monkeys, Leopards, Giraffes, and a variety of plain antelope.

After your breakfast, you will have a morning game viewing session in Lake Nakuru national park to view flamingos that are famous in the park and other water birds like pelicans plains game like the Cape buffalo giraffe and baboons. After the game drive, check out of the camp and depart for Amboseli, taking lunch en route. You will arrive at Amboseli late in the evening and have an en-route game drive on your way to your camp for dinner and overnight.
Amboseli National Park offers unparalleled views of Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa's tallest mountain, as it’s strategically located at its foot. The different natural setting gives the park a spectacular view and home for the wild. This setting range from the acacia woodlands, plains, swamps, marshes, rocky thorn woods, and the dried-up lake. The park is also home to large herds of African elephants as well as lions, leopards, cheetahs, buffalo, and more, this overnight visit allows you both afternoon and morning game drives in the park.

After an early morning breakfast, leave your camp with packed lunch and depart for the morning and evening game drive. During the morning game drive, you are likely to see a clear view of the peak of Mt. Kilimanjaro. You will have a chance to spot the big five and other plains game like wildebeests, giraffes, and antelopes search also for hippos mostly alongside the semi-permanent lakes and swamps like Longinya.
The landscape is mostly dominated by open plains extensive stands of yellow-bucked acacia woodland lava-strewn thorny bush country and deep valley mountains like Namanga, Lameboti, and Elemborashe. Birdlife at the park are the Masai ostrich, the aquatic little grapes, long-tailed cormorants, African data pelicans, and goliath purple heroin among others.

Take an early breakfast and spend the morning for a final game drive exploring the park. The morning drive will give you a better chance to observe the animals as they graze before the sun gets hot. You may be lucky to witness hunting. Visit the observation hill from where you will be able to see Mount Kilimanjaro from afar as well as the vast park and the animals as they graze from a top spot. After the game drive, check out of the camp and the park's gate and leave for Nairobi. You shall be dropped off at the airport or your hotel.
You will be provided full board meals when on safari. A 300 ml bottled water per person per day is also offered.
The food on safari is delicious and ranges from simple to gourmet. You can expect lots of fresh fruits and vegetables and wonderful homemade soups. Chicken, lamb, beef, or pork are usually served at lunch and dinner as well as fish and vegetarian dishes. Breakfast is a buffet with lots of tropical fruits, hot and cold cereals, bacon, sausages, mushrooms, bread and pastries, and eggs to order. Lunch can be either buffet or served at the table and always starts with soup. Dinner is usually a 4 or 5-course sit-down affair, although there is no need to dress up. Often your safari guide will join you at meals as you recall your day's events.
Game drives offer you the opportunity to view animals at a closer range, but the hot air balloons offer you the opportunity to view animals from high above the sky. Hot air balloon trip is available at an extra cost.
