6 Days Masai Mara, Lake Nakuru, Samburu Safaris is a safari that gives our clients a chance to experience the three most popular parks that are available in Kenya. They have a chance to spend 6 days and 5 nights in Maasai Mara National Reserve, Lake Nakuru National Park and Samburu National Reserve. The Maasai Mara is known for its famous Wildebeest Migration that happens in the course of the year. Our clients also get a chance to experience a safari to Lake Nakuru which is famous for its beautiful Flamingoes
Program
Day 1: Nairobi to Masai Mara Safari
After breakfast, leave Nairobi for Masai Mara Game Reserve. Picnic lunch en-route. On arrival, proceed to the campsite/lodge. After a short rest and if time permits, proceed for a game drive in search of black-maned lions, elephants, leopards, cheetahs, buffalos, and other plain game. Return to the camp/lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Full Days Masai Mara Safari
Full day spent with game drives in this magnificent park. A balloon safari can be arranged at this time early in the morning before the morning game drive at an extra cost of 450 USD per person before or continue with the game drive.
You can have a full-day exploration with a picnic lunch break or alternatively, you will be taken to the lodge, for a short rest, and continue with the game drive later on. During the day, a Masai Village visit can be organized for you at an extra cost of USD 20. Dinner and overnight at the camp/lodge.
Day 3: Masai Mara to Lake Nakuru Safari
After breakfast, proceed with the game drive after which you will check out of the camp/lodge and depart for Lake Nakuru National Park, taking lunch en route. You will arrive in Lake Nakuru National Park in the late afternoon, check at the camp, and rest. Alternatively, proceed with a late evening game drive. Dinner and overnight at the camp/hotel.
Day 4: Lake Nakuru to Samburu Safari
Proceed to Lake Nakuru National Park for a pre-breakfast game drive. Known for its huge concentration of flamingos, the park is rich in other bird life and a number of wild animals. After breakfast leave for Samburu. Lunch en-route arriving late afternoon, Dinner and overnight at the campsite/lodge.
Day 5: Full Day Samburu Safari
After breakfast, depart for an early morning game drive. Return to the camp/lodge for lunch. Another afternoon game viewing drive. Dinner and overnight at the campsite/lodge.
Day 6: Samburu to Nairobi
After breakfast, leave Samburu for Nanyuki at the base of Mt. Kenya. Drop off clients who want to stay behind to climb Mt. Kenya after lunch, and leave for Nairobi.
Location
The Maasai Mara is known for its famous Wildebeest Migration that happens over the course of the year. You will also get a chance to experience a safari to Lake Nakuru which is famous for its beautiful flamingoes. There are also other species of animals like the white rhinos, lions, and leopards - the endangered ones.
Samburu National Reserve is located along the Ewaso Nyiro River surrounded by the beautiful savannah plains. The Reserve is well famous for animals like the Grevy’s zebra, Somali ostrich, reticulated giraffe, Gerenuk, and the Beisa Oryx they are commonly known as the Samburu Special Five. Samburu National Reserve is also home to other animals like elephants, lions, leopards, and cheetahs. Bird watching can also be experienced in the reserve since it has over 450 recorded species.
