Witness the wonders of wildlife in this safari in Kenya. You will go across Maasai Mara, Lake Naivasha, and Lake Nakuru to get the opportunity to see the highest concentration of wild animals than the other parks anywhere in the region. Grab the chance to be the audience of the great wildebeest migration that will usually take place from Tanzania’s Serengeti National Park to Kenya’s Masai Mara Game Reserve.
During the safari, you will stay in a various accommodation throughout Maasai Mara, Lake Nakuru, and Lake Naivasha, Kenya.
Accommodations on safari are usually a combination of lodges and permanent or mobile tented camps. "In the bush", and miles from civilization, these luxury camp's and lodges are all unique and in amazing settings. Lodge rooms have complete bathroom amenities as do most permanent tented camps.
Mobile camps can have either private en-suite facilities or shared bathroom and shower tents. Unless you are in a major city, there will be no television or phones with outside lines. Electric lights running on generators are generally lit for a few hours in the early morning and from dark until 22:00 or 23:00.
The tour driver guide will pick you from your Nairobi hotels and drive to Lake Naivasha, one of the Great Rift Valley’s fresh water lakes, home to over 350 bird species and wildlife. Check in to a safari lodge for lunch. Visit the lake shore for an afternoon game drive. Enjoy the stunning Crater Lake Reserve, some of the only game parks where you are allowed to explore by foot. There are no predators in these game parks but you will spot giraffe, zebra, and impala! Dinner and overnight at your safari lodge.
After breakfast, head towards the rolling plains of the Maasai Mara. Before entering the game reserve, visit a Maasai village. Not only can you see inside a traditional Maasai hut, and learn about Maasai tradition and lifestyle, but also try your hand at the age-old tradition of bartering for souvenirs. The village is slightly commercialized but still gives a good idea of how the Maasai live. Dinner and overnight at Mara Sopa.
The Maasai Mara is the most famous and prolific game park in Kenya covering an area of 1,672 square kilometers. After early morning breakfast, depart for game drive with packed lunch and spend the whole day viewing game with a visit to the Mara River to view crocodiles and hippos - and if during the migration season, witness the wildebeest and zebras river crossings.
Leave the Maasai Mara and drive to Lake Nakuru National Park, a park famous for a large population of pink flamingos, a sizeable population of rhinos, both black and white and other animals including leopards and lions. Enjoy the sunset whilst listening out for the laughing hyena or the mighty lion staking his territory for the night. Dinner and overnight at Lake Nakuru Lodge or Sarova Lion Hill Lodge.
After a half-day walking safari, you will journey back to the lodge for a big buffet lunch then pack up and head to Nairobi stopping at the Rift Valley viewpoint for some stunning photo opportunities. The Rift Valley runs 6000 kilometers from the Red Sea into Mozambique and is up to 100 kilometers wide in places. After a photo opportunity at the viewpoint and a chance to enjoy the spectacular view, you will head back to Nairobi for the night.
Daily breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included in the price. One liter bottled water is also provided for each person during the safari.
Ballon safari can be arranged at an additional cost of 450 USD per person. If you are interested, you can also book a visit to the Maasai village at an additional cost of USD 450 per person.
