Day 1: Nairobi - Mount Kenya region

Pick up from your hotel in time at 09:00 and drive to your mountain lodge through lush coffee and tea plantation to Mount Kenya region. At Mountain lodge, there is a water hole where animals come to drink water thus no game drives since you can view the animals from your hotel. Your overnight will be at Serena Mountain Lodge.

Day 2: Mount Kenya region - Samburu National Reserve

Depart after breakfast and drive to the north to the dramatic semi-arid scrubland of the northern frontier and arrive in time for lunch. After lunch, you will have an afternoon game drive to sight resident wildlife species like the reticulated giraffe, gravy zebra, Belsa oryx, and the blue-necked Somali ostrich that are rare elsewhere in the country. Your overnight will be at Samburu Sopa Lodge.

Day 3: Samburu National Reserve

Further exploration of this fascinating reserve awaits you. Early morning and afternoon game drives will give you a chance to explore some of the world’s most spectacular and exciting terrain. Your overnight will be at Samburu Sopa Lodge.

Day 4: Samburu National Reserve - Sweetwater's

Sweetwater’s is a luxury tented camp set in a 22,000-acre rhino sanctuary Olpajeta Camp. It enjoys magnificent plains to the snow-capped peaks of Mount Kenya and has an abundant of wildlife. After lunch, enjoy an afternoon game drive. Sweetwater's is also the house the only Chimpanzee Sanctuary of its kind in Kenya.

During your stay at Sweetwater’s, you will have to opportunity to meet the tame black rhino and to go and see chimpanzees living naturally within their dedicated sanctuary. Sweetwater’s tented camp also offers a true safari experience with night drives, bush walks, and breakfast in the wild. There will be an evening game drives at an extra cost and are optional. Your overnight will be at Sweetwater’s Tented Camp.

Day 5: Sweetwater's - Lake Nakuru National Park

Depart Sweetwater’s after breakfast and drive to the lake shore hotel in the Great Rift Valley arriving in time for lunch. Enjoy an afternoon game drive in the Lake Nakuru National Park. Your overnight will be at Naivasha Sopa Lodge.

Day 6: Lake Nakuru National Park - Maasai Mara National Reserve

After breakfast, drive to Maasai Mara west and down the Great Rift Valley escarpment, you will then turn off on the main road across the Great Rift Valley and head towards Narok gateway to the Maasai Mara and district headquarters' of this part of Maasailand. You'll travel across the "breakfast" of Kenya, covered with acres of wheat and barley before you reach your destination, Mara by lunchtime. After lunch, enjoy free time until 16:00 where you start your first game viewing drive in the reserve regarded as the most magnificent natural theater in the world. Set in the heart of Africa's great plains, the Maasai Mara boasts 1,672 square kilometers of unspoiled wilderness. It is home to the highest concentration of animals and birds anywhere on the continent. Your overnight will be at Mara Sopa Lodge.

Day 7: Maasai Mara National Reserve

Early morning, you will have tea or coffee and thereafter enjoy a full day in the Mara with game drives included. It is a reserve of breathtaking vistas, panoramas of vast rolling plains, hills and woodland groves, well watered by the lovely Mara River, which bisects the reserve from north to south. The Maasai Mara is home to the largest population of lions in Kenya, these magnificent beasts spending most of the day sleeping in the shade of acacia trees. Vast herds of buffalo, zebra, and wildebeest roam the plains. Impala, gazelle, giraffe, and hartebeest grace the landscape, and the cautious topi may also be seen standing sentinel on earth mounds on a constant lookout for predators.

The waters of the Mara River are home to crocodiles and pools of hippo, the acacia woodlands, and riverine forests favored by leopard and elephant, as well as the open savannah and dry bush areas, play host to the plains game and their attendant predators such as lion, cheetah, hyena and jackal. Your overnight will be at Mara Sopa Lodge.

Day 8: Maasai Mara National Reserve - Nairobi

You will depart early for a morning game drive enjoying the African sunrise at the same time. Return to the lodge for breakfast and check out for your travel back to Nairobi arriving late in the afternoon.


During this safari you will explore and visit Mount Kenya area, Samburu National Reserve, Ol Pejeta, Lake Nakuru National Park, and Maasai Mara National Reserve.
