Join an exciting safari and experience fun game drives in several national parks, having the chance to spot the Big Five, as well as a visit a chimpanzee sanctuary. During this safari, you will have the opportunity to see multiple species, such as the beautiful flamingos, in their natural habitat and be thrilled with the views of the African landscapes. This will certainly be a trip of a lifetime!
Set in 150 acres of grassland studded with Acacia bushes and trees, the resort is not only home to the resident giraffe, waterbuck, and both Vervet and Colobus monkeys, but it is also a night stop for the hippos when they leave the lake every night to come and trim the grass on the expansive lawns.
With Sopa’s traditional and conscientious care for the environment, they carefully positioned all the buildings on their property so they did not have to cut any of the many trees there. As a result of this, they had to come up with a radically innovative and artistic design for the main public area building, which now snakes its way between the trees with long and graceful curves.
The hotel offers 21 cottages built in a crescent shape, and each has four rooms, two on the ground and two at the top, which totals to 84 rooms.
The exterior walls of the cottages have stone walls giving it character and creepers and bougainvilleas add a lot of color. The same stone work is carried into the rooms, and is the exterior bathroom wall. The banister going up the top floor is wrought iron as well and the same creepers and bougainvilleas are entwined around them.
The double-story guest cottages, with their ingeniously designed roofs, gently sweep away from one side of the main building to form a crescent which leads towards the lake shore. While the upstairs guest rooms have a single king size bed and the downstairs ones have two queen size beds, both have one thing in common: an extraordinary amount of space, as well as lavishly appointed bathrooms.
All rooms have large frontal windows, televisions, mini-bars, telephones, electronic safes, tea and coffee making facilities, and spacious, open air verandas.
Sleeping in Maasai Mara, one of the most renowned game parks in the world, is truly an exciting experience. Sarova Mara Game Camp offers spacious luxurious tents, attractively constructed in light beige canvas with large windows, wooden flooring, and a permanent roof. All have en-suite bathrooms with large mirrors, WC, hot and cold running water, and showers, and are equipped with a fully stocked mini bar, shaver outlets for 110 Volts and 200 Volts, and hairdryers.
The emphasis is on tasteful comfort with a smooth blend into the beautiful nature that makes the Mara. All tents are built with spectacular views. Large wooden decks with a comfortable day bed, chairs, and a table offer a tranquil and relaxing retreat while you listen to the natural sounds of nature.

Depart from Sweetwaters to Nakuru National Park with a packed lunch and enjoy views of Lake Elementaita before arriving at your destination, Lake Nakuru. The waters here are often colored sparkling flamingo pink from the thousands of attractive birds lining its shores. The park is home to warthogs, water bucks, buffaloes, reed bucks, and the occasional leopard.
White and black rhinos were introduced to the park some years ago and you will find white rhinos at the southern end. The park has also retained its reputation as an ornithologists' delight with more than 400 species of bird found here. Once in the park, there will be a game drive en-route to the lodge. On arrival, relax and rest at the lodge. You will spend the night in Naivasha Sopa.
Depart from Nakuru after breakfast and drive south via Narok to the Mara reserve. You will have a game drive en route to the luxurious tented camp upon arrival in the reserve. Arrive in time for lunch. The rest of the afternoon is at leisure and in the early evening, you will embark on a game drive to get a closer look at the Maasai Mara reserve.
Maasai Mara has incredible wide-open landscapes and fertile riverine woodland following the looping meanders of the Mara and Talek rivers. Wherever you go in the Mara you will see a frequent amount of wildlife such as Maasai giraffe, baboons, warthogs, bat eared foxes, grey jackals, spotted hyenas, topis, impala, hartebeests, and wildebeest. Elephants, buffaloes, zebras, and hippos also exist in great numbers.
It is also common to see lions either basking after a heavy meal, or surveying the plains for their next meal. Cheetahs and leopards are harder to spot but are still reasonably common. The ultimate action here is without doubt the annual wildebeest exodus in July and August, when millions of these grass eaters move north from the Serengeti in search of lusher grass before turning south again in October. You will spend he night in Sarova Mara
Today, you will join a very early morning game drive in the Maasai Mara. This is the ideal time to see game as temperatures are cooler and hopefully lions, cheetahs, and leopards will be roaming the vast grasslands in search of prey.
Later, you will return to the lodge for breakfast. The rest of the morning will be at leisure or partake in optional activities, such as a visit to Maasai village to see their nomadic life. After lunch, enjoy an afternoon game drive to get a closer look at the Mara and to look out for the Big Five. Return to the lodge for dinner. You will spend the night in Sarova Mara
