Wildebeest migration is one of the “Seven New Wonders of the World” and also known as the "World Cup of Wildlife". Maasai Mara and Serengeti National Park together form what no other reserve or park in Africa can. Nowhere in the world is there a movement of animals as immense as the wildebeest migration. The migration has to cross Mara River in Maasai Mara where crocodiles will prey on them. This is one of the highlights as the animals try and cross the Mara River alive. If there is a safari you should go on, then this is the one!
The accommodation is at Miti Mingi Eco Tented Camp, Lenchada Tented Camp or similar (self-contained tented camp).
Morning pick up from Nairobi and drive to Maasai Mara through the Great African Rift Valley escarpment (with a brief stopover). Enjoy a drive through Longonot and Suswa and onto the Western walls with a brief stopover at a Maasai Town, Narok. You will arrive at the Maasai Mara in time for lunch. Check in at the self-contained tented camp and have lunch.
Go on an afternoon / evening game drive through the park in search of the Big Five, lion, cheetah, elephant, buffalo, and rhino plus other animals. The team will return to camp late in the evening just in time for dinner. A campfire gathering under the clear Africa’s Sky will follow after dinner. You will enjoy overnight stay at the tented camp.
After the early morning game drive, you will then return back to the camp for breakfast. After breakfast, spend a full day in the park with packed lunch in search of its popular residents like the well-known predators and their opponents like the zebra, wildebeest, giraffe, hippo and the dangerous crocodiles with a visit to Mara River.
Picnic lunch will be served at the Mara River site. At Mara River, you might get a chance to experience wildebeest migration. You will also have a chance to see other plain game like the topi, hartebeest, and eland. Later, you will have meals and overnight stay at the camp.
You will have an early morning breakfast at the camp. Check out of the camp and park. With an option of visiting Maasai Manyattas, then drive to Nairobi with stopovers in the towns to give you a chance to buy souvenirs. You will arrive in the afternoon (drop off in the same location).
Note: The departure is daily and Kenya Outdoors Tours And Travel welcomes group-joining package.
This safari will take place in Kenya. The safari will start and end in Nairobi. This safari will take you to Maasai Mara National Reserve and the Mara River. There are over two millions of animals migrate from the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania to the greener pastures of the Maasai Mara National Reserve in Kenya during July through to October.
