Murchison Falls National Park is Uganda’s largest national park with over 1840 square kilometers in size and is located in the west Nile. The park is known of harboring a number of wildlife like elephants, leopards, buffaloes, and many others. Also at the River Nile, there is a number of birds. The park is most identified for its magnificent falls flowing through 7 meter length wide for a 300 cubic meters volume of water. This has therefore made it the most powerful falls and attracts many visitors.

During this safari, you will be staying at Yebo Safari Camp & Lodge inside Murchison Falls National Park.


Day 1: Kampala to Murchison Falls National Park

Pick from Entebbe or Kampala and then proceed to Murchison Falls National Park with a stop over at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for the rhino tracking. Afterwards, drive to Murchison Falls National Park and stop over at Kabalega Dinners for lunch. Later, proceed to Murchison Falls via Masindi town which is 86 kilometers from Masindi town to Murchison Falls National Park Headquarters (three hours' drive), arriving in the evening and check in at the lodge.

Day 2: Morning game drive and afternoon boat cruise

After an early breakfast, drive to paraa to cross with the 7 a.m. ferry to the northern part of the park for game drives and get to know the facts about this national park. The park is a home for over 450 bird species and these include Albertine Rift endemic, the wetland birds and the savanna, forest birds, and species include saddle-billed stork, Gray-crown crane, Africa fish eagle.Egyptian plover, African wattled lapwing, secretary bird, etc. These can be seen during your visit in this world’s most popular prime wildlife safari destination.

Murchison Falls National Park with 76 mammals and among these include, buffaloes, leopards, lions, elephants, Uganda kobs, warthogs, giraffes, water bucks, Oribis, and more. After lunch, you will go for an afternoon boat cruise to the bottom of Murchison Falls which will take three hours. This is the most memorable and unforgettable experience you'll ever have. Here you will have the chance to spot Nile Crocodiles, plenty of hippos.

Day 3: Drive back to Kampala

After having an early breakfast, drive back to Kampala with a stop over at Kabalega Dinners for lunch.


Murchison Falls is the largest and oldest national park in Uganda covering an area of 3840 square kilometers. The park is situated at the northern end of the Great Rift Valley where the sweeping Bunyoro escarpment tumbles into vast palm-dotted savannah. Murchison Falls National Park was gazetted as a national park in 1952 and the park is comprised of 76 mammal species including giraffe, buffaloes, heartbeats, hippos, leopards, lions, and over 451 bird species, in varied habitats such as savannah and open waters.
