Visit and see the wonders that Tanzania offers by having many natural wonders and tourist attractions during this safari. Kanuth Adventure Safari is fully committed to serving and making visitors enjoy their stay in Tanzania and its magnificent scenery. This safari will take you from Arusha to Tarangire National Park, Mto wa Mbu, Lake Manyara, Lake Natron, Serengeti National Park, Ngorongoro Crater, and Lake Eyasi in Tanzania.
During this safari, you will be staying in the following accommodations:
After breakfast, you will leave with your driver / guide to Tarangire National Park until sunset game drive. Tarangire National Park covers an area of 2,600 square kilometers and was established in 1970. The park has numerous baobab trees that will primarily catch your attention.
The park derived its name from the Tarangire River that rises in the highlands of Central Tanzania and winds its way through the game sanctuary. The river beguilingly lures the herds of plains migrants from the desiccated surrounding area to its shrunken - but permanent - brackish waters during the dry season.
The animals come by thousands from as far north as the shores of Lake Natron to the bank of this river, significantly swelling the resident population with wildebeest, zebra, and eland, elephant, hartebeest, buffalo, and fringe-eared Oryx.
During the dry season, the Tarangire pools are clotted with thirsty migrants, and the elephants begin to dig for underground streams in the dry riverbed. Tarangire National Park is said to have the highest recorded number of breeding bird species for any habitat in the world.
Enjoy an early morning game drive and evening sunset game drive at one of the beautiful parks of Tanzania with a lot of animals. Evening drive to Lake Manyara at Mto wa Mbu village for overnight.
After breakfast, head to the village for the morning culture tourism activity. This tour will be guided by a local tour guide from the village and will lead you through the village walk where you can get an inside look at the homes and exquisite craft of Mto wa Mbu’s many tribes.
You will get a chance to meet locals and learn about banana beer, Makonde wood carvings, and the tribal painting techniques; the village provides a great introduction to everyday life in Africa. Lunch to be saved from the local family.
After that lunch, you will take a bicycle and ride to Lake Manyara. Here you will walk along the lake and watch flamingoes and cattle drinking. Park your bikes and take a canoe safari at Lake Manyara. This lake gets its water underground from the Great Rift Valley Wall. You will get very close to many species of water birds. In the evening, ride your bicycle again back to your accommodation.
After breakfast, depart to Lake Natron. On arrival, visit Lake Natron which is one of the most alkaline lakes in the world. Home to millions of tiny crustaceans, the lake is a haven for thousands of lesser flamingos and it is one of the most important flamingo breeding grounds on earth. The area around the lake is dry and desolate. The strangely beautiful landscape is the attraction in this area.
After a strenuous walk up the stream, you will reach the source of the river in the cascading waterfalls that gush out of the mountains. It is an excellent swim in the river and under the waterfalls for a nice cool-down from the hot sun. There may be baboons or other wildlife in the gorge
Enjoy an early morning visit to the lake for nice sunrise photos of flamingoes. Come back to your accommodation for breakfast and rest. Hot lunch to be served, then in the evening you will leave for a visit to a Maasai tribe. Here you will have a chance to learn and experience the daily life of this old and famous tribe in East Africa. You will also perform in the evening traditional dance and have an experience like never before.
After breakfast, depart for the Serengeti National Park. After the registration formalities at the Klein’s Gate, you will go for a game drive in the vast plains of the Serengeti National Park (on your way to the campsite) where you will get the chance to see lots of animals and birdlife alike.
Among animals that can be seen here includes the zebras, buffaloes, baboons, topis, impalas, cheetahs, leopards, and the recently introduced rhinos, which were the only member of the Big Five that was missing in this park.
After breakfast, enjoys a full day game drive in the Wagakuria area. Resident wildlife numbers are exceptionally high in the Wagakuria area, with prides of lions up to 30 strong, however, from July to October the area turns into a wildlife paradise. The key feature is the Mara River and it is not uncommon to see the herds cross the Mara River north on one day and then back south a few days later.
Please take note that to actually finding a crossing is very difficult and is sometimes a matter of luck. A herd can be seen next to the river and only decide to cross or not cross until a couple of days later. This area is a stunning region with kopjes, woodland, riverine vegetation, and open plains, similar to Kenya's Masai Mara Game Reserve.
After breakfast, leave with your lunch box and drive en-route from the Seronera Area. As you head from the north, good sightings of giraffe, plain game, herds of buffalo and elephants can often be seen. You will arrive in time for lunch at the lodge and after lunch, you will enjoy an afternoon game drive in the area. This area is much known as the best area for all kinds of big cats that can be seen in Africa.
Embark on an early morning game drive at Seronera Area and come back to your accommodation for breakfast. Collect your lunch box and depart to Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
You will stopover at Olduvai Gorge, boasting with a history dating back to the dawn of time. It was here, that the anthropologists Drs. Lois and Mary Leakey discovered the skulls of the ’Nutcracker Man’ and ‘Handy Man’, both very significant links in the chain of human evolution. You will arrive in time for lunch at the lodge and spend the afternoon at leisure.
After breakfast, descend to the crater floor for the game drive. Ngorongoro Crater is the largest collapsed volcanic crater in the world and fourteen kilometers of isolated natural beauty. Ngorongoro Crater is surrounded by a ring of extinct volcanoes and the floor, dotted with watering holes, shelters some 30,000 animals.
You can expect to see lions, elephants, Zebras, Hippos, Flamingos, Jackals, Rhinos Antelopes, and many birds. The birds seen here include eagle, vulture, and flamingos in the crater lake, stork, bats, giant vulture, sacred ibis, kori bustard, blacksmith plover, long-necked heron, and the cattle eagle. Picnic lunch will take place at the hippo pool. Ascend to the rim and departure for Lake Eyasi afterwards.
In the morning before breakfast, you will be awakened by your local guide ready to spend time with the Hadzabe. The Hadzabe are the last of the hunter-gatherer tribes. You will be able to observe their daily lives. Remember that this isn't inside the national park, it is outside the park.
In the morning you will be back for breakfast and preparation of barbecue. You will share the meal with the Hadzabe who inhabit the region if you are interested. After lunch, drive back to Arusha.
