This 3-day safari will take you to visit the stunning Amboseli National Park. It is the ideal package for you who have a limited time while in East Africa. During this safari, you'll be staying for 2 nights at Amboseli Sopa Lodge in Amboseli National Park, Kajiado County, Kenya.
Journeys Beyond Africa will pick you from your Nairobi Hotel in the morning and drive south across the Athi Plains, home to the legendary Maasai tribesmen and famous for its huge herds of elephant. Lunch at the camp and later proceed for an evening game drive in search of big game such as lion, cheetah, antelope, zebra, wildebeest, buffalo, and giraffe. There, you can see the best view of Africa's highest mountain, Kilimanjaro, that can be seen from all the lodges / camps area. Dinner and overnight will be at Amboseli Sopa Lodge.
After breakfast, you will proceed to do a half day game drive in search of more wildlife among varied species of birds. Later after lunch, you will enjoy another game drive. As the sun goes down, you will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight at Amboseli Sopa Lodge.
After an early morning breakfast at the camp, you will depart to Nairobi arriving in late evening where you will be transferred to the airport for your flight back home or to a city hotel for further arrangements.
Your 3-day safari will take place at Amboseli National Park in Kenya, Africa. Amboseli National Park is located in Loitoktok District about 240 kilometers on the Nairobi - Arusha Road, through Meshanani Gate. The ecosystem is mainly savannah grassland spread across the Kenya and Tanzania border. The park is famous for being the best place in Africa to get close to free-ranging elephants among other wildlife species. Other attractions of the park include opportunities to meet the Maasai and spectacular views of Mount Kilimanjaro.
