Day 2: Gorilla Trekking Tour

After breakfast, your driver guide will transfer you to an information center from where you will be briefed on the “do's and dont's” while in the forest. The unique insight and knowledge of the ranger guide are sure to add to your experience and understanding of the habits and behaviors of the Mountain Gorillas. As you head into the forest, it may be silent at the first encounter but as you track, you will realize the jungle sound as you see various forest flora and fauna.

Walk through the dense forest tracks with great anticipation. All of a sudden, you will come across the Uganda Mountain Gorillas peaceful in a family with their silver backs. Later, head back to the camp or lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Departure

An early breakfast at the camp before setting off for Kampala or Entebbe International Airport (EBB) with a stop over for lunch enroute.

Gorilla trekking

The trip guarantees you a search for the gorillas in the their natural habitat. The trek kicks off with a briefing at the park headquarters about the do's and don'ts involved in the tracking exercise, followed by being assigned to a gorilla family to track from and later being assigned a ranger guide to take you into the jungles.

As you transcend through the jungle, you will come across other small wildlife and bird species, not neglecting the rich flora and fauna. The trek will be on hilly thick grounds. Upon meeting the huge primates, the excitement will fill the air and you will forget the hustle involved to get to the gorillas in an exercise which takes you 50 minutes. You will be granted a maximum of one hour to interact with them as you take as many photos as you can.
