Had an awesome time, with a good bunch 9f fellow travellers and an excellent tour guide, Nerise. Nerise was extremely knowledgeable & also very proud of her Country. Her 8nformation along the way and organizational skills were of the highest order. The tour is a terrific mix of animals, culture & spectacular scenery. There was also the opportunity to exercise with Mountain biking in Swaziland, hiking at Drakensburg & The Cape. I can absolutely recommend this tour, saw 4 of the big 5 only missing out on the Leopard. Got so close to the animals it was just so memorable with too many highlights to go into detail separately. Do yourself a favour & do this tour for a very good overall of South Africa & parts of Africa.
Our safari was towards the end of a wet, wet season so the roads were bumpier than usual and this made some of the journeys longer than expected, and the wildlife in Etosha harder to find. That said, this was an excellent trip that I would recommend in the dry season! Our guide, Louis Lock, had an almost encyclopaedic knowledge and always had some new facts for us. His enthusiasm encouraged us to get up for all those early morning starts! Given problems on a previous trip, Louis made the decision that our safari truck would not be suitable to access Waterberg and arranged alternative vehicles for us. In our view, this was the right decision given the muddy roads en route, and resulted in Waterberg being one of our highlights. Our driver, Tham, gave us as smooth a ride as possible navigating his way around the bumps in the roads caused by the heavy rain. Some days were bumpier than others but I think we all enjoyed the interesting 'Namibian Massage'.

First of all, many thanks to our great Guide, Louis Lock, who made every effort to make our trip a very special one. He has an extensive knowledge about everything: flora, fauna, geography, history… - very impressive. Moreover, he is very friendly, committed and motivating. Also thanks a lot to Brilliant, who is a very good driver and made us always feel comfortable and safe.
We were very lucky to have a wonderful guide and driver and a great atmosphere among the travel companions (many regards to Australia, Canada and Germany) – it was so much fun!
South Africa is a very beautiful, diverse country and we visited most of the highlights such as the Kruger NP, the Blyde River Canyon, Tsitsikamma NP, Drakensberge, Capetown,…
The accommodations varied between basic, mid-range and very good; some were quite simple but mostly clean – overall absolutely satisfactory. There had been few changes compared to the original itinerary.
Two minor points of criticism: the a/c in the vehicle was not working and the maximum group size has been exceeded.
However, I can absolutely recommend Jenman Safari and I would book another trip with them again.

We recently returned from the Botswana Wildlife Breakaway safari and had an amazing experience that we will never forget. Yes, there is a lot of driving on this safari, especially the 3 hour drive to the Khwai Bedouin camp. We thought we would never arrive! But looking back on it, that was part of the fun. We joked with our travel mates, saw things we would never have seen had we flown, and experienced the real roads of Botswana. We especially want to mention our guide, Manuel Joao, and our driver, Mbusi. We've seen many tour guides during our travels, but none as good as Manuel. He is knowledgeable on a wide range of subjects, but more importantly was his willingness to always handle our group's requests with a smile and a Hakuna Matata. He is one of the best and he and Mbusi made a great team. We especially loved the staff and their joyful singing at the Bedouin camp and the accommodations and staff at Elephant Eye. The sunset river cruise on the Chobe was superb. The not-so-great would be the A'Zambezi Lodge. The reception staff are great; the bar and restaurant area seemed to be having some major issues. On our game drives, we saw endless elephants, kudu, impala, zebras, and giraffe. Especially memorable was a mama lion with her cub in her mouth as she walked past our vehicle, a leopard that our local guide, Chief, was bound and determined to find and did, and watching three lions tracking a warthog, who escaped. So many amazing, amazing memories. We would highly recommend Jenman Safaris and would love to do another.

We have just returned from a wonderful Northern Experience safari with Jenman. This tour took ten of us over 22 days from Cape Town, through to the beautiful Orange River on the border and into Namibia's spectacular Fish River Canyon. We climbed dunes in Sossuvlei, saw 5000 year old rock paintings and numerous animals and birds in the amazing National Parks of Etosha and Mahangu in Namibia and The Okavango Delta and Chobe in Botswana. The trip finished in Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe. We were fortunate to have Nkossie as our driver over the many kilometres on dirt roads. The bus was comfortable and roomy (10 of us in an 18 seater, everyone had a window seat). It was great for the game drives too. Alfred was a truely fantastic guide. He was so much fun, organised and knowledgable. He and Nkossie gave great insight into life in Southern Africa, and prepared varied and nutritious meals. The accommodations were great, clean and comfortable, all with ensuite bathrooms. A mixture of cabins, lodges and permanent tents, they were all perfect. Thanks so much for a great trip. Jules and Tawfik.
