Your accommodation will be at Miti Mingi Eco Tented Camp. 1 person will be in a shared room, 2 persons will be in a twin room, and 6 persons will stay in 3 twin rooms. The rooms are en-suite with hot showers. Beds are neat and fitted with clean linen. You can upgrade the accommodation by contacting Jamboree Africa Tours and Safaris.

Program

Day 1

Pickup at 7:30 a.m. Nairobi to Masai Mara. You’ll enjoy an evening game drive for 2 hours. Enjoy dinner and overnight at Miti Mingi Eco Camp.

Day 2

You’ll wake up at 6 a.m. and enjoy breakfast. You'll later start your safari at 6:30 a.m. The game drive will end at 6 p.m. The driver will carry a packed lunch. Dinner and overnight at Miti Mingi Eco Camp.

Note: There are washrooms in designated areas inside the Masai Mara.

Day 3

This day there will be no game drive. Wake up at 7:30 a.m. You can either decide to visit a Maasai village, which is optional or plan it with the driver's guide. At 8:30 a.m., you’ll depart for Nairobi, marking the end of the safari. Your breakfast and lunch for today are included in the price.

Location

This safari will take place at Maasai Mara national reserve located on the floor of the Great Rift Valley in Narok county. The Maasai Mara game reserve is one of the best known and most popular reserves in the whole of Africa. The Maasai Mara lies in the Great Rift Valley, which is a fault line some 3,500 miles long, from Ethiopia's Red Sea through Kenya, Tanzania, Malawi, and into Mozambique. Here the valley is wide and a towering escarpment can be seen in the hazy distance.

Most of the game viewing activities occur on the valley floor, but some lodges conduct walking tours outside the park boundaries in the hills of the Oloololo Escarpment. The animals are also at liberty to move outside the park into huge areas known as 'dispersal areas'. There can be as much wildlife roaming outside the park as inside. Many Maasai villages are located in the 'dispersal areas' and they have, over centuries, developed a synergetic relationship with the wildlife.

Food

You will be served daily meals on this safari. The food will be delicious and ranges from simple to gourmet. You can expect lots of fresh fruits, vegetables, and wonderful homemade soups. Chicken, lamb, beef, or pork is usually served at lunch and dinner as well as fish and vegetarian dishes. Breakfast will be a buffet with lots of tropical fruits, hot and cold cereals, bacon, sausages, mushrooms, breads and pastries, and eggs to order. Lunch can be either buffet or served at the table and always starts with soup. Dinner is usually a 4 or 5-course sit-down affair, although there is no need to dress up. Other dietary requirements are available on request.
