Tortilis Camp (1 night)

Named after the natural forest of flat-topped acacia tortilis thorn trees that give it shade, the charming Tortilis Camp is situated on a sprawling private concession, accessed from within the renowned Amboseli National Park. Guests can expect elegant accommodation and endless views stretching to the majestic snow-capped Mount Kilimanjaro and Mount Meru in Tanzania. The camp’s beautifully-appointed tents are spacious, with comfortable beds, lovely ensuite bathrooms and a private veranda. Guests travelling with children can make use of the Family Tent and small groups can enjoy the comforts of the Private House. All accommodation options at Tortilis have exceptional mountain views.

The guest areas of the camp include a cozy sitting room, bar and dining area, all exquisitely furnished with natural materials and covered with thatched roofs. Guests can take a dip in the sparkling swimming pool or relax with an indulgent massage after an adventure-filled morning of game viewing. Over one thousand elephants, vast herds of wildebeest, lions and more than 300 species of birds have made the pristine wilderness of the Amboseli their home, which makes for exciting game viewing opportunities. Adventures include twice-daily game drives in open 4×4 safari vehicles, walks outside the park (led by expert Maasai guides), cultural tours and decadent bush breakfasts.

Chui Lodge (1 night)

Chui Lodge, situated in the heart of the Oserengoni Wildlife Sanctuary, comprises of 8 luxurious cottages set in a beautifully manicured garden. Enjoy international standard cusine under the shade of the acacia trees whilst you watch the wildlife drinking from the nearby waterhole.

The Lodge was designed and created by June Zwager; her vision was brought to life with help from the local community and her team of skilled craftsmen. The Lodge is built from simple bush stone, acacia, olive and leleshwa wood, all sustainably sourced from within the sanctuary. All furniture has been hand crafted at their onsite wood workshop and every piece is unique and adds to the African flare of Chui Lodge.

The dining room, lounge and bar area feature pillars and murals with intricate African carvings, African antiques and ochre coloured walls creating the feel of an artist's gallery. A short walk from the main building and cottages is a large swimming pool with views across the waterhole and the wildlife sanctuary beyond. Having a refreshing dip in the pool while watching herds of giraffe walk down to drink is a unique memory you will keep forever. With so much space and privacy, time here moves slowly and one can lose oneself in the African bush without disturbance.

There are eight en suite individual and well-spaced luxurious bandas each with its own veranda and views of the Rift Valley escarpment and the Wildlife Sanctuary. Chui Lodge has 5 standard rooms and 3 deluxe rooms.

All the bedrooms have magnificent four poster king size olive wood beds, roaring log fires, en-suite bathrooms and unique décor, making each room completely different from one another. Each cottage has their very own tea/coffee stations and mini bars, which are restocked everyday.

The deluxe rooms are larger and have their very own lounge areas, some with an extra sofa bed. Each view from the rooms is unique, some overlook the lush gardens towards the pond and others have spectacular views of the wildlife and wildlife waterhole in front of the lodge.

Lalashe Ripoi Mara Camp (2 nights)

Lalashe Mara Ripoi is a very intimate luxury tented safari camp with only five very luxurious tented suites and 1 family villa in private Mara Ripoi conservancy, a conservancy that is home to only 4 small safari camps that have exclusive use for game drives and other activities. The camp sits on a beautiful valley dotted with acacias and croton bushes that is frequented by dozens of wildlife walking through and in front of the well-spaced luxury tented suites. There is a big private dam in the camp that is sought after by many wildlife in the Conservancy throughout the year but mostly in the dry season which makes game sightings around the camp to be active and concentrated.

Lalashe Mara Ripoi’s guests’ main areas features relaxing lounges and dining areas where all the guests in the camp meet to share exciting bush stories with the hosts while enjoying their drinks or meals.

To ensure guests have a memorable stay, they have created very spacious beautifully designed and decorated main areas that feature: luxurious indoor lounge with library, outdoor lounge with the views of the acacia dotted valley of Mara Ripoi Conservancy, fully stocked bar, camp fire, two indoor dining lounges and outdoor dining areas, umbrella shaded areas for relaxing and dining, comfy satellite TV lounge and a gym area.

The very spacious luxury tented suites have been designed to give guests maximum comfort and privacy while enjoying the magical views of Mara Ripoi conservancy. All rooms have private views of the Ormoti valley and all are spaced out to ensure free movement of wildlife through the camp. It is here that there is genuine connection with African wildlife and nature at large. From the comfort of your room you will have close encounters with zebras, giraffes, wildebeests grazing by or herds of elephants walking to the dam.

During the hottest part of the day after your morning safari you are invited to dip into your private plunge pool in each room or just relax on day beds or at the outdoor spacious lounge with a book and perhaps a drink. All of the comfortable suites feature indoor showers, indoor and outdoor lounges, fully stocked private mini-bar, floor and ceiling fans, bath tub with a view and outdoor dining area. All the rooms as well come with your own private butler.

Lalashe Mara (2 nights)

Lalashe Maasai Mara is a small intimate luxury tented safari lodge located in Maasai Mara, one of the best African wildlife safari destinations in the world.

The comfy and beautifully designed main area that has indoor and outdoor relaxing and dining lounges overlooks a waterhole that is frequently visited by many resident wildlife from zebras, giraffes, impalas, buffalos, Warthogs, topis, wildebeests, and elephants among other animals. Lions and resident leopards have been regularly seen at night around the camp.

There are both indoor and outdoor relaxing lounges connected to the fully stocked all-inclusive bar that has tea and coffee making facilities. The infinity pool with sunbed area is to be enjoyed during the hottest part of the day as you watch wildlife pass by.

In the evening the lantern lit camp-fire area is not to be missed as evening drinks, bitings and stories are shared with other guests and the lodge’s hosts and for some African wildlife movies they have a satellite TV lounge.

Program

Day 1: Nairobi to Amboseli National Park

You will be picked up by your safari driver guide upon arrival at Jomokenyatta Intenational Airport (JKIA) early in the morning and embark on your safari to Amboseli National Park, which is renowned as the home of Mount Kilimanjaro and a very good place for elephants and birdlife.

You will arrive at the lodge/camp in time for lunch.

Later in the afternoon depart for an evening game drive to explore what Amboseli has for you then back to the camp.

Dinner and overnight at Tortilis Camp (room type - standard tent)

Day 2: Amboseli National Park to Lake Naivasha

Breakfast will be served then depart for Lake Naivasha via the capital city Nairobi and the Great Rift Valley Viewpoint where you will have a brief stop, then proceed on to arrive at the lodge in time for lunch. In the afternoon you will have a boat ride within the lake exploring its beauty with a chance the see the hippos. The area is also rich in birdlife. You will also have a guided walk for about 45 minutes close to the antelopes, zebras and giraffes.

Dinner and overnight at Chui Lodge (room type - standard banda)

Day 3: Lake Naivasha to Maasai Mara

Breakfast will be served then depart and drive to Maasai Mara Game Reserve where you will arrive for check in at your camp. Lunch will be served then later in the evening depart for a game drive exploring more within the dotted plains of Maasai Mara.

Dinner and overnight at Lalashe Ripoi Mara Camp (in a conservancy) / Lalashe Mara (room type - standard tent)

Day 4: Maasai Mara

On this day you will have your breakfast at the camp then depart with packed lunches for a full day game drive to explore the whole day in Maasai Mara. Lunch will be served in the savannah grassland and then later in the evening return to the camp.

On this day you can opt to do a hot air balloon safari which is optional at 450 USD per person.

Dinner and overnight at Lalashe Ripoi Mara Camp (in a conservancy) / Lalashe Mara.

Day 5: Maasai Mara to Nairobi

Breakfast will be served then depart and drive back to Nairobi where you will be dropped off at the airport for your onward international departure flight.
