"Once again, we had an amazing time at Rhino Ridge during our 3-night stay. The staff was welcoming and friendly. Thank you to Sikile, our game driver. We had an amazing experience in the bush. We also had wonderful spa treatments with Longile and Queenie. This was our second visit and we enjoyed it so much. We will definitely be back. Thank you."

"We enjoyed our 2-night stay in early December and can highly recommend this lodge. The staff is almost all from the immediate area in KZN, and some (like our guide) used to play as children on the land where the lodge now sits. So, they know every corner of this reserve. This local ownership/involvement makes this lodge quite unique. The staff was unfailingly friendly, helpful, cheerful and professional. The luxury bush villas are very large, new, comfortable and well designed, with a beautiful private deck overlooking the bush. The bathroom was large, with a wonderful big shower (with views), 2 sinks, a nice tub and closed toilet. The room had a fireplace, sitting area, and also a mini bar and safe. The large bed was very comfortable and was enclosed with a mosquito net at night. We enjoyed all the game drives (thank you to Simo, our guide), and loved our safari walk (with wonderful Nunu, who could hear/sense rhinos before we had any idea they were close by) with the adrenaline rush of walking close to rhinos (we saw many), as well as a herd of buffalo, and trying to stay downwind of them so they didn’t know we were there. We did not have time to enjoy the spa but did take a dip in the lovely pool (with great views) one day, which was great. We enjoyed the breakfasts, “high tea” (happily more salads and items like quiche, not too many cakes/sweets) in the afternoon, evening drinks on the deck near the fire pit and gorgeous bar area, and the delicious dinners at night. The chefs are really excellent. The road up to the lodge is steep and rocky and difficult in parts, even in an SUV, so a sedan or small car is not recommended. We would gladly go back!"

"The rooms were well-maintained and the housekeeping was very meticulous. For the most part, staff was friendly. The safari bush walk was amazing as well as Nunu, our guide game drives, was nice and there were always lots of wildlife to see. All in all, it was a nice escape."
