Accommodation

Nkorho Bush Lodge

Nkorho Bush Lodge is situated in the Sabi Sands Private Game Reserve and shares an unfenced border with the Kruger National Park. An African Jewel, with a diverse abundance of wildlife. Set in a comfortable environment, Nkorho Bush Lodge offers a true safari experience extraordinaire whereupon guests become one with nature.

As your day draws to a close, feel the thrill as the nocturnal animals rule the night. You are lured to indulge in typical African cuisine around an open fire in a traditional Leadwood Boma. Retire for the night in stylish yet homely en-suite thatched chalets that offer comfort with a difference.

Game drives start early in the morning, the best time to spot game. The staff will wake you at least 30 minutes before departure. Come down to the patio and enjoy a cup of coffee and rusks before your drive. There will also be a break on the game drive for tea or coffee.

Afternoon/evening drive times will be discussed with you on checking in. You will stop for sundowner drinks and marvel at the surroundings and it's magic. On returning to the lodge, feel free to freshen up and meet at the bar for a pre-dinner drink.

Nsala Safari Camp

Nsala Safari Camp is located in a game-rich private game reserve sharing unfenced borders with the world-renowned Timbavati Private Nature Reserve, the Klaserie Private Nature Reserve and the popular Kruger National Park. Nsala is an intimate and rustic bush camp hugged by marula and leadwood trees, and is perched on the banks of a dry riverbed overlooking a gentle s-bend in the meandering river.

Program

Day 1: Johannesburg - Sabi Sands Game Reserve

After arrival in Johannesburg, you will be met and taken to Sabi Sands Game Reserve, where you will stay for the first three nights at Nkoroh Bush Lodge. Transfer time will be about five hours. In the afternoon, join your first shared afternoon game drive.

Days 2 to 3: Sabi Sands Game Reserve

Morning and afternoon shared safari activity. Those are usually safari drives, but there are also walking safaris on offer, which is highly recommend as you get to appreciate all the small things as well as the big game and learn to understand how the whole environment works.

Days 4 to 5: Sabi Sands Game Reserve - Kruger National Park

Morning safari activity, transfer to Nsala Safari Camp, and afternoon safari activity from there. The next day, you will have a morning and afternoon shared safari activity.

Day 6: Kruger National Park - Johannesburg

After an early morning safari drive for one last opportunity to enjoy the wonders of the African bush, return to the lodge for brunch and then depart on your road transfer to Johannesburg. There is the option to go via Panorama Route as well, please ask for the supplement if interested.

Sabi Sand Private Game Reserve

Food

During this safari, your daily breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included in the price. You will also be provided with soft drinks, water, teas, coffees, and local alcoholic drinks at Arathusa.

Standards of hygiene in relation to food health and safety in South Africa, are generally high in hotels, restaurants, pubs, and nightspots. Tap water in South Africa is safe to drink and cook with when taken from taps in urban areas. Not all tap water in rural areas is safe for consumption, so take precautions if necessary.

It is safe to eat fresh fruit, vegetables and salads, and put ice in your drinks. South Africa's fish, meat and chicken are of excellent quality, so there is no need to limit yourself when enjoying the local cuisine.

Restaurants are subject to South Africa's food safety control legislation, which is implemented by local government. Regulations include certification and regular inspections by health inspectors to ensure hygienic standards are maintained.

Street food is not as common in South Africa as it is in other countries, although vendors selling traditional snacks and meals can be found in city centers and townships. Food safety in such instances cannot always be guaranteed.
