Luxury Safari in Botswana

Join this luxury mobile safari, one of the most traditional ways to explore the protected and wild areas in Botswana. Your accommodation includes one night in a four-hotel in Maun, seven nights luxury mobile safari, and two nights in a four-star lodge in Kasane.

The mobile tented camp

The mobile camp is fully serviced of the staff. According the number of people in the group, the staff members will be from 3 to 6, including always one expert chef. The staff load, set up, move, clean, cook. Your only duty will be to enjoy during the safaris and relax in the camp.

The tents have one bedroom of around 12 square meters, furnished with beds fully equipped with mattresses and delicate linen, table bed where you will always find jug with purified water and glasses, light provides with small battery charged by solar panels, and one small trunk. Each tent has a private veranda with 2 comfortable safari chairs for resting, and private facilities with bucket shower, daily filled in by the staff, and camp toilet.

One dining area, with a big gazebo with mobile canvas walls, protects you from the sun and/or from the cold whilst you enjoy the meals.


This description is a general description about the itinerary and it will be subject to the road’s state, always changing, and the sightings.

The time for the morning and afternoon safaris every day will have only 2 fixed rules: depart every morning at 06.00, and back in the camp every evening at 18.30. As an average every day you will do safari for 6-7 hours. The “moving days”, when you travel from one area to the next one, the guide will explain the detail itinerary, as for every group can be different, according the location of the camp inside of each National Park.

Day 1: Maun

Arrival. Welcome in the airport and transfer to the lodge. Free time to relax. For groups with 12 guest: included scenic flight over the Okavango Delta. Groups with less than 12 guests: optional. Don’t hesitate to enquire for more Information.

Day 2: Maun - Moremi

Your guide will indicate you the departure time. The safari cars will pick you up in the hotel to begin the adventure, heading to Moremi. According the camp location, your guide will indicate you how will be day. It can be a full day safari day, with picnic pack lunch and reach the camp for dinner. But also can be a transfer safari to reach the camp for lunch, and continue with one afternoon game drive. Dinner will be always in the camp.

Remarks: Moremi Game Reserve is divided in different areas: Third Bridge, Xakanaka, Khwai in the North, Mboma. The tented camp can be located in any of these areas and this location will mark the itinerary for this first according the distance for Maun to the camp’s location.

Days 3 and 4: Moremi

Two full days to explore Moremi Game Reserve. Every day:

  • Wake up call at 05.00
  • Breakfast ready at 05.30
  • 06.00: you will depart on safari. Depending on the sightings you will stay 4-5 hours on safari, always with some stop over for tea and coffee. Back to the camp
  • Time for rest, shower, lunch
  • Around 15.00-15.30, depart for the afternoon safari. If the sightings and the time allow it, sundowner’ stop
  • Back in the camp at 18.30
  • Time to relax around the fire till dinner is ready around 19.30

By staying 2 full days in this wide wild area in the only way you will really have the chance to explore it quietly during the safari every day, and taste its essence, enjoying with plenty of time every sighting as well as to have the chance to explore its different habitats and their variety in the wonderful landscapes.

Day 5: Moremi - Okavango Delta - Khwai Area

This is a moving day, different from the previous ones, and very intensive. You will begin the day at 05.00, but once you leave the camp, a full and intense day is awaiting for you. You will head on safari itinerary, exploring every corner, to the Okavango Delta channels.

You will reach the boat station where you will board in a motor-boat to explore the channels for around 2 hours looking for the big elephants crossing the channels, the crocodiles relaxed in the bank of the channels, or the hippos breathing heavily in the lagoons. After this exploration of the Okavango Delta’s channels and lagoons, the safari cars will be awaiting for you in the boat station, and you will continue driving and exploring, heading to the permanent camp in the north of Moremi. Today the breakfast will be in the camp, the lunch picnic in route, and dinner in the camp.

Full safari day, combining game drive with the boat cruise in the channels (2-3 hours). The camp location in Moremi, as starting point, the sightings, and the roads’ state will mark how this day will be. Today you will overnight in one permanent camp in the north area of the Moremi Game Reserve.

Day 6: Khwai Area - Chobe National Park

After to enjoy a nice breakfast in the camp, you will head to the north, going into the Chobe National Park. Your camp can be located either in the Mababe region or in the Savute region. You will reach the camp for lunch, and will enjoy your first game drive on this area in the afternoon. Dinner is in the camp. You will feel back home!

Days 7 and 8: Chobe National Park

Two full days to explore and enjoy the inner areas of the Chobe National Park. Every day:

  • Wake up call at 05.00
  • Breakfast ready at 05.30
  • 06.00: you will depart on safari. Depending on the sightings you will stay 4-5 hours on safari, always with some stop over for tea and coffee. Back to the camp
  • Time for rest, shower, lunch
  • Around 15.00-15.30, depart for the afternoon safari. If the sightings and the time allow it, sundowner’ stop
  • Back in the camp at 18.30
  • Time to relax around the fire till dinner is ready around 19.30
  • Remarks: if the mobile tented camp is located in the Mababe region, one of the days you will do a full safari day to the Savute area, with picnic lunch.

Day 9: Chobe National Park to the river front

Again wakeup call at 05.00 to face a very intensive day: you will left the camp to head to the north, to the Chobe River. You will leave the National Park by the Ghoha Gate, drive across the Chobe Forest Reserve till go into the National Park again by the Ngoma Gate. From here you will explore with the open safari vehicles the banks of the Chobe River, always full of wildlife, till reach the opposite gate, Sedudu Gate.

You will stop at some nice spot to enjoy your pack lunch. You will reach the lodge around 16.00. One wonderful room will be waiting for you, besides of all the comfort of this riverfront located accommodation: swimming pool, bar, air conditioned. No doubt it will be a wonderful experience after to have been living as real explorers 8 days in the deep bush. A wonderful reward. Dinner in the lodge.

Day 10: Chobe Riverfront

But don’t let your adrenaline go down, as intensive experiences are awaiting today. Again you will have to wake at 05.00 to depart at 06.00 on safari, to explore on game drive the river banks of the Chobe River. Go back to the lodge after to have enjoyed a picnic breakfast in the bush, surrounded by elephants, monkeys, impalas and many other wildlife. You will have time for relaxing in the lodge, enjoy the swimming pool, or go for a walk around Kasane village.

Lunch and in the afternoon you will enjoy a relaxed cruise in the Chobe River. You will see the big herds of elephants drinking, bathing, playing, and if you are lucky, crossing the river. And of course, you will be witness of one of the most beautiful Africans’ sunset. Dinner in the lodge.

Day 11: Chobe Riverfront - End of the trip

  • After the breakfast you will be transferred to Kasane’s airport to board in the international flight to return home. End of the services.

This departure, due to the zebra migration movement that is produced usually on this month, after the rains, from Makgadikgadi to the north will have a special itinerary:
