Situated in the malaria free Madikwe Game Reserve with a more extensive children’s safari than any other luxury camp, Madikwe Safari Lodge is the ideal destination for a family safari. While parents are catching forty winks or luxuriating in the spa treatment, children are entertained in the Eco House or nature beyond. The suites are indulgent havens that blend beautifully into the vastness of the surrounding woodland.
The enormous lounge, bedroom and bathroom areas are all glass-fronted and allow unimpeded views of the African wilds beyond where you may see herds of elephant picking at the leaves as they amble slowly by. The suites can accommodate up to two children on a double sleeper couch.
The facilities are air conditioning, balcony / deck, dressing gowns, en-suite, fireplace, hair dryer, lounge area, mini bar, outside shower, private pool / jacuzzi, pure cotton linen, safe, shower, and tea / coffee.
The luxurious Tongabezi Lodge is situated on the banks of the Zambezi River, just upstream of the Victoria Falls. The lodge features a lounge, a bar, and a swimming pool which has been landscaped into the rock face. Meals are served in the large dining room, on an outdoor deck overlooking the river, in the privacy of your room, or floating on the Zambezi River.
The five houses and four river cottages are each individually styled and cater for two to five guests. Victoria Falls can be viewed in close proximity to the lodge, on a short excursion with your guide.

On the first three days of this tour, you will stay at One&Only Resorts, Cape Town. The city is packed full of fun for the whole family. Trips up Table Mountain in the cable car or on foot for the fitter families will leave you breathless with wonder. The gleaming white beaches, especially with a gourmet picnic lunch, offer magnificent days out in Hout Bay, Llandudno, Clifton and Camp’s Bay while the quirky town of Fish Hoek and Boulder’s Beach offer warmer waters for the kids. Although the produce of the spectacular wine lands is best enjoyed by parents, there are also abundant scenery and activities for young travelers.
After enjoying Cape Town, you will stay at Madikwe Safari Lodge, Madikwe Game Reserve. You will enjoy two daily game drives with FGASA qualified rangers, bush walks, astronomy activities, and wildlife. Activities for children are also provided. In addition, you will also enjoy bush breakfasts, picnic lunches, and bush dinners.
On the last three days of the safari, you will stay at Tongabezi Lodge, Zambia. There are endless activities including sunrise and sunset boat trips on the Zambezi, guided canoeing excursion (depending on the water levels) and hippo activities, and lunch in a local Island with guided walks.
Afterwards, you will go fishing (equipment provided), visit to Victorian Falls on the Zambian side (the entrance fees are extra), have a game drive in the Mosi-Oa-Tunya National Park (the park fees are extra), walk in the gorge below the Victoria Falls, visit (or enjoy village's mountain bike trail) local village visit, and shop on the Zambian side of the Victorian Falls.
On the last day, you will depart from Zambia with happy and everlasting memories of the trip.
During the safari, you will visit several landmarks in South Africa and Zambia. In South Africa, you will visit Cape Town and Madikwe Game Reserve. While in Zambia, you will visit Livingstone Island and Victoria Falls.
As one of the world’s most spectacular cities, Cape Town sits on the southwestern edge of Africa and nestles beautifully between the two national heritage sites of the infamous Robben Island and the iconic “New 7 natural wonders of the world” member, Table Mountain. Despite being South Africa’s oldest city, Cape Town has managed to retain its traditional charm whilst developing its cosmopolitan lifestyle. This combination ensures a wealth of experiences for tourists and locals alike.
Madikwe is widely recognized as one of the premier luxury safari destinations in Southern Africa. The 75.000 hectares Madikwe Game Reserve is one of South Africa’s largest and finest game reserves. Madikwe Game Reserve has become a world famous reserve for its lions and (highly endangered) African wild dogs viewing. Because Madikwe’s terrain is a unique mix of savanna and semi-arid desert, the diverse safari experience allows visitors the chance to view the ever renowned Big Five as well as a number of rare desert-adapted species.
The Victoria Falls is possibly the most awe-inspiring and humbling natural wonder on planet earth. Standing in the rain forest faced with the great thundering boom of the ancient Zambezi waters plunging more than 100 meters into fathomless gorge will leave you silent, grinning, tearful, and overjoyed to be soaked by the cleansing waters. The most exclusive viewpoint for witnessing this immense mass of water is Livingstone Island, the place where Dr. David Livingstone first glimpsed Mosi-Oa-Tunya.
On the first three days of this safari, daily breakfast will be served for you. After that, while staying at Madikwe Safari Lodge, you will be provided with all meals, teas / coffees, soft drinks, local brand beers and spirits, house wines, and game drive refreshments and snacks. Then at Tongabezi Lodge, you will enjoy all daily meals, drinks, and house wine.
