Join this 12-day combination trip to Tanzanian unique attractions. You will see the beautiful countryside by hiking in Kilimanjaro National Park and get a chance to visit the hot springs and swim in this natural oasis before going on a 4-day safari to the famous Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater as well as Tarangire National Park. To end up your stay, you will enjoy the beauty of Zanzibar beaches and cultural sights.
During this safari, you will be accommodated at some accommodations including Fanaka Lodge and Kendwa Rocks Hotel or Sunset Hotel.
Your starting time is between 08:00 and 09:00. You will be picked up and transferred for 1.5 hours with a Jeep to West Kilimanjaro, one of the less traveled parts with stunning views. The nature of the road where you will bike is all flat and, for the main part, you will bike on great bike trails. The 4×4 Jeep will be behind you as a backup vehicle while you are biking with the guide. In the jeep, there will be a ranger and the driver that carry a first aid box and your personal equipment.
This will be a new experience as you bike and walk next to wild animals in West Kilimanjaro. There is a possibility to see many species such as kudus, Grant's gazelles, warthogs, impalas, wildebeests, and giraffes as well as bird species and much more which are permanent residents in this area. Other animals like elands, zebras, buffalos, and elephants are passing there. You may also be able to see seasonal elephant routes. Biking distance will be flexible between 15 and 35 kilometers.
You will be transferred from your accommodation to the starting point at Lemosho route via Moram for 1.5 hours. You will hike for 2 or 3 hours and get to see Kilimanjaro in a great view of the Shira Caldera, a high altitude desert plateau which is rarely visited. Shira is the third peak of Kilimanjaro’s volcanic cones and is filled with lava flow from Kibo Peak. In the afternoon, you will drive to your accommodation near Lake Manyara to a lodge called Fanaka Lodge.
You will drive from the lodge all the way to the Serengeti National Park. You will be passing through the rim of Ngorongoro Crater. If possible, you will stop by to enjoy the view. You will keep driving all the way to the first Serengeti gate at Naabi hill where you will have a short stop. You will enjoy your safari drive until around 18:00 when you have to drive to your accommodation for dinner and overnight stay.
Your day will start with a game drive watching the sunrise. Then, you will have breakfast and head back for another game drive. After lunch, you will go back to your accommodation where you will pack your things and have a game drive on your way out of Serengeti National Park and drive to Ngorongoro Crater for an overnight stay and dinner.
In the Ngorongoro Crater, you will enjoy a game drive until lunch time. You will have lunch boxes at a picnic place inside the crater. After the game drive, you will drive back to your accommodation near Tarangire National Park to the lodge called Fanaka Lodge.
You will start from your hotel and head to Tarangire National Park at 08:00. In the park, you will drive for 4 to 5 hours to get to Tarangire National Park. You will stop to have a lunch box in between. Then, you will keep driving in the park for a few hours. Around 13:00 or 13:30, you will start to drive to Arusha or Moshi for your stay overnight.
You will drive to your chosen flight to Zanzibar from Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) or Arusha Airport (ARK). Then, Homeland Adventures will arrange a transfer to a hotel in Zanzibar. You will enjoy your 5 nights in Zanzibar. It is recommended to go on a 1-day trip to Stone Town and go to 2 different beaches such as Uroa Beach. Your accommodation at the chosen hotel for 4 nights will be at Kendwa in Kendwa Rocks Hotel or Sunset Hotel.
Your safari trip will take place in several locations across Tanzania including Kilimanjaro National Park, Serengeti National Park, Ngorongoro Conservation Area, Tarangire National Park, and Zanzibar.
