Day 1: West and North Kilimanjaro

Your starting time is between 08:00 and 09:00. You will be picked up and transferred for 1.5 hours with a Jeep to West Kilimanjaro, one of the less traveled parts with stunning views. The nature of the road where you will bike is all flat and, for the main part, you will bike on great bike trails. The 4×4 Jeep will be behind you as a backup vehicle while you are biking with the guide. In the jeep, there will be a ranger and the driver that carry a first aid box and your personal equipment.

This will be a new experience as you bike and walk next to wild animals in West Kilimanjaro. There is a possibility to see many species such as kudus, Grant's gazelles, warthogs, impalas, wildebeests, and giraffes as well as bird species and much more which are permanent residents in this area. Other animals like elands, zebras, buffalos, and elephants are passing there. You may also be able to see seasonal elephant routes. Biking distance will be flexible between 15 and 35 kilometers.

Day 2: Kilimanjaro National Park

You will be transferred from your accommodation to the starting point at Lemosho route via Moram for 1.5 hours. You will hike for 2 or 3 hours and get to see Kilimanjaro in a great view of the Shira Caldera, a high altitude desert plateau which is rarely visited. Shira is the third peak of Kilimanjaro’s volcanic cones and is filled with lava flow from Kibo Peak. In the afternoon, you will drive to your accommodation near Lake Manyara to a lodge called Fanaka Lodge.

Day 3: Serengeti National Park

You will drive from the lodge all the way to the Serengeti National Park. You will be passing through the rim of Ngorongoro Crater. If possible, you will stop by to enjoy the view. You will keep driving all the way to the first Serengeti gate at Naabi hill where you will have a short stop. You will enjoy your safari drive until around 18:00 when you have to drive to your accommodation for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Serengeti National Park

Your day will start with a game drive watching the sunrise. Then, you will have breakfast and head back for another game drive. After lunch, you will go back to your accommodation where you will pack your things and have a game drive on your way out of Serengeti National Park and drive to Ngorongoro Crater for an overnight stay and dinner.

Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater

In the Ngorongoro Crater, you will enjoy a game drive until lunch time. You will have lunch boxes at a picnic place inside the crater. After the game drive, you will drive back to your accommodation near Tarangire National Park to the lodge called Fanaka Lodge.

Day 6: Tarangire National Park

You will start from your hotel and head to Tarangire National Park at 08:00. In the park, you will drive for 4 to 5 hours to get to Tarangire National Park. You will stop to have a lunch box in between. Then, you will keep driving in the park for a few hours. Around 13:00 or 13:30, you will start to drive to Arusha or Moshi for your stay overnight.

Day 7 - 12: Zanzibar

You will drive to your chosen flight to Zanzibar from Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) or Arusha Airport (ARK). Then, Homeland Adventures will arrange a transfer to a hotel in Zanzibar. You will enjoy your 5 nights in Zanzibar. It is recommended to go on a 1-day trip to Stone Town and go to 2 different beaches such as Uroa Beach. Your accommodation at the chosen hotel for 4 nights will be at Kendwa in Kendwa Rocks Hotel or Sunset Hotel.

"Everything was great! The guides and the porters took great care of every detail especially my health, safety, food, and mood. Muksin went out of his way to ensure that his clients are satisfied. The company not only takes care of their clients but also of their porters. One of the guides fell ill on the 3rd day and they sent him back immediately. Furthermore, originally 5 people were supposed to join the group climb i paid for however they canceled last minute and Homeland Adventures yet ensured that the trip goes smoothly as planned and never asked me to reconsider changing my itinerary. I met people who signed up with companies canceling on travelers last minute/ forcing them to change the Kili route from 7 days to 6 days since a group was not formed, but Homeland acted really responsible and delivered their promise from the start till the end. I would definitely recommend the company since traveling responsibly (porter wages and treatment) is the right way to go - ALWAYS! :) "

"Last but not least, I needed a budget safari and on a last minute basis Muksin arranged one for me and made it clear that he is helping me out and cannot promise on the quality since it's a budget safari and not offered by his company. So they all really went out of their way to ensure i have a good time and there were no false promises. Thanks again for everything to the entire team! Hope to visit again some day! :)"

"Homeland adventures is a great company and Muksin (the owner) is a very friendly person. Me and some other went bike riding with him for a short trip one evening and it was a really good experience. It was a perfect way to use an afternoon. He came to the place we stayed and we started from there. We bicycled a bit out of the city and it was beautiful nature and we got to see more of the rural areas around Moshi. I can really recommend Muksin and Homeland adventures!"
