Himalaya Hearts’ representative will be at Tribhuvan International Airport (KTM) on the first day of your soft adventure with jungle safari. They will drive you to the hotel and brief about the programs for the next couple of days. It’s a day at leisure to adjust in a completely new climatic and cultural atmosphere. So, take it easy and wander around to get an insight on the local area.
It’s the day when you drive to Chitwan to explore the wildlife there. You will set out of a driving journey of about six hours to Sauraha, near Chitwan National Park. The drive is an introduction to the rural life in Nepal. As you drive past local towns, villages, and beautiful surroundings, you will come to know a bit about how the rural life and the middle hills landscape in Nepal look like. Leaving the valley, you will drive through middle hills and finally to the plains of Chitwan in the south of Nepal.
As you reach Sauraha and check into your hotel, the hotel management will provide you the schedule of safari activities. You will follow the same schedule to experience an amazing wildlife safari.
It is the day when you set out into the jungle to explore the wild. During your activities today, your sole purpose will be to spot one-horned rhino, deer, wild boar, bison, leopard, bear, crocodile and, if fortunate enough, the Bengal tiger. You will use Jeep drive, canoe, and walk to explore the wildlife. An interesting part of the activity today is the visit to elephant breeding center where you can see baby elephants with their mothers. The domesticated female elephants are impregnated by the wild male elephants here at this center.
Later, you will have a luxury of evening Tharu cultural show at their cultural house. This will be an interesting cultural immersion night.
After the wonderful safari time exploring the wildlife in Chitwan National Park, you will drive to Pokhara today. Another five hours of drive takes you to the beautiful lake city that is Pokhara. On a clear day, you will enjoy the view of snow-capped mountains as you drive towards your destination for the day. You will reach Pokhara and check into your hotel near the Lake Fewa. Your second half of the day in Pokhara will be at leisure. There is nothing scheduled for today so you can wander around the streets of the lakeside and can take a walk along the lake and spend relaxing time.
Your time in Pokhara today will be full of exciting activities for the first half of the day with the latter half a little bit at ease. You will start the day before the break of the dawn and drive to Sarangkot hill station to enjoy a beautiful sunrise and view of the Annapurna range. The mountains view from Sarangkot is simply breathtaking. Then, you will drive back to Pokhara and start the rest of the activities after breakfast. Other activities include a peaceful boat ride on the Lake Fewa, a visit to the Davis falls, Gupteshwor cave, and mountaineering museum. You will have some free time after lunch until you drive to World Peace Stupa for a sunset view over the Annapurna range.
You will drive back to Kathmandu today. It will be about seven hours on the highway before you reach Kathmandu and spend your time at leisure.
After a few days of jungle safari activities and wonderful exploration in Pokhara, it’s time now to indulge in the cultural exploration of Kathmandu valley. You will have a heritage tour in Kathmandu scheduled for the day.
You will explore the cultural heritage sites like Swoymbhunath, Patan Durbar Square, Pashupatinath, and Boudhanath today. These sites will give you insights on the ancient and medieval life in Kathmandu, faith of people on the spirituality, their love for art and craft, and beautiful history of Kathmandu valley. This will be the day full of beautiful cultural, spiritual, and historical wonders to wrap up your trip with an incredible cultural indulgence.
Later in the evening, you can take leisurely walk around to find out something that might interest you.
