Program

Langtang Valley trekking begins with a seven to eight hours drive to Syabru Bensi from Kathmandu. Langtang Valley trekking starts out through a dense forest of oak, birch, and pine which finally opens out into alpine meadows and yak pastures. In spring, wild flowers and rare orchids cover up these meadows. The wildlife is equally fascinating here. Animals like red pandas, Himalayan black bear, wild boar, and langur monkeys, welcome everyone with their wild cries.

Beyond Langtang village, the pretty summer settlement of Kyanjin with its small gompa and cheese factory is something worth remembering. The views from here are spectacular and magical as everywhere around in the Himalaya, a 360 degree panorama of snow capped mountains, including the awesome Langtang Lirung, Pemthang Ri, Langshisha Ri, Dorje Lakpa, and Kangchenpo, Tilman’s fluted peak.

Here, you are provided with a small summary of the whole trekking experience. The first step you take is toward Syabru Bensi (1,462 meters), after which you follow the trail to Langtang Valley (3,520 meters) from where you trek to Kyanjin Gompa (3,825 meters).

You then spend some time on acclimatization which will prepare you for the next hike to Kyanjin Ri (4,756 meters) and walk to Tserko Ri (4,984 meters). You get to view the beautiful Himalayan vista which includes Langtang Lirung, Yala peak, Naya khanga, Ganesh Himal, Tibetian. After experiencing what Langtang has to offer, you return to Syabru village and then back to Dhunche.

This experience will give you something that you will never forget. The combination of fist pumping adventure and the soothing effect of nature will come to life in front of your own eyes.
