Nights 1 and 2: Acacia Tarangire Luxury Camp

Acacia Tarangire Luxury Camp is a thatched camp in the heart of Maasai nation and an inaccessible corner of the Tarangire, in total privacy among giant acacia trees and looking out yonder the plat savanna. Not only do they offer guests unique safari accommodation, but also spectacular views of the Tarangire National Park, located near Kuru Airstrip.

Each room has super wide windows that offer panoramic views of the Tarangire National park. Enjoy your afternoons spotting wildlife from the sun deck before enjoying dinner under the African sky.

The camp is one of the few vintage safari camps in the park. With twelve fully furnished, deluxe tents, each tent has its own en-suite facilities with a shower, hand basin, and washing facilities. Soaps, shampoos, and insect repellents are supplied, as well as a hairdryer.

There are plug points at your disposal to charge equipment. Bathrobes are supplied in each tent, as well as ponchos with hoods and warm lining – to protect from both rain and cold weather. There are large chests on each property with lock and key for safekeeping of valuables

The camp runs almost entirely on solar energy, thus dramatically allowing access to electricity 24 hours a day. Expert guiding and superb cuisine all come together to create an experience that is completely different from any other.

Nights 3 - 5: Kiota Camp

Perched on a hilltop, Kiota Camp offers a bird's eye view of the Seronera River Valley's abundance. Birds play an important part in Kiota's design and atmosphere. Hand-painted lilac-breasted rollers decorate the bed covers, and every side table holds an ornithology reference and a pair of binoculars.

With only eleven tents, the camp maintains a quiet presence within the surrounding woodlands and grasslands. The Seronera Airstrip is only twenty minutes away, and many of the most famous landscape features and game concentrations can be almost immediately accessed.

Night 6: Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge

Facing the always magnificent sunsets to the west and located at the highest point on Ngorongoro Crater’s entire rim, Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge stands well over half a kilometer above the crater floor and offers unparalleled views across the enormous caldera.

Themed around traditionally circular African houses with conical roofs and decorated with examples of Africa’s rich tapestry of artistic traditions by way of rich woodcarvings and sculptures, the lodge harmonizes perfectly with its dramatic surroundings.

But the drama does not just stop with the great outdoors; it also flows through the split level interiors of the main building which all offer an unsurpassed generosity of space while somehow managing to combine an almost magically welcoming ambiance of both warmth and coziness.

Brightly colored flowers of many species of shrubs border the paved pathways which lead away from both sides of the swimming pool to the guest rooms which are built on the same design. When you step through your door, you will probably hold your breath while you stare over the two queen size beds and through the window walling of the lower level enclosed solarium at the view of the crater beyond.

And the luxury doesn’t stop there. Because of its altitude, the lodge can be chilly at night, so each room has central heating; hot water bottles are placed in every bed during the evening turn down service and the luxuriously appointed bathrooms have extremely spacious showers under which you can reminisce about the wonders of this awesome, almost magically mystical place called Ngorongoro.

All rooms are equipped with amenities to ensure maximum comfort during your stay. Among these are the wake up calls and complimentary coffee and tea, all of which will help to kick start an early morning game drive.

  • Accommodation level: Mid-range

Night 7: Lake Manyara Kilimamoja Lodge

The lodge is nestled on the rim of the Great African Rift Valley, with stunning views over Lake Manyara, Mount Meru, and Mount Kilimanjaro on a clear day. It is set on pristine, lush green gardens and local vegetation with over 130 species of birds.

All 50 suites and two-bedroom luxury villas have panoramic views of the surrounding area. All rooms are tastefully decorated with all the amenities one would expect in a five-star lodge, inclusive of inside and outside shower, bath, air conditioning, fireplaces, Wi-Fi, mini bar, safe, and private balcony

The spectacular main house has all the luxuries, including a main lounge, grand hallway, dining room, spa, boutique, conference room, boardroom, media (TV) room, outside fireplace, rim flow pool, billiard table, gym, and children's activity room.
