The African Tulip Hotel is an elegant and charming luxury boutique hotel located along Serengeti Road, right in the heart of Arusha. A warm and friendly welcome awaits guests who want to experience the best of Tanzanian hospitality. The hotel has been designed with safari travelers, business persons, families, honeymooners, elite, and leisure travelers in mind. It has amenities of convenience whilst offering a high standard of luxury.

The hotel has 29 guest rooms, seven of which are suites. The rooms are individually and stylishly decorated using warm African tones. A lot of African materials and local art have been used, reflecting the common thread that runs throughout the hotel which is one of consistence and quality.

The Zanzibar Lounge is beautifully decorated with Zanzibari art and offers comfortable seating where guests can relax and peruse the various coffee table books, whilst enjoying pure African coffee. A fully stocked lounge bar offers warm Swahili service.

The Baobab Restaurant is uniquely designed and offers a comfortable and enjoyable dining experience. The chefs creatively prepare exotic and delicious meals with fresh and natural ingredients, giving guests a flavor of both Tanzanian and international cuisine.

Additional amenities include: a business center, a 30-seater conference room, two fully stocked bars, swimming pool, and gift shop.

Tarangire Maramboi Tented Camp

Wildlife calls at the door of Maramboi Tented Lodge. Zebras, giraffes, warthogs, gazelles... You could see them appear between the palm trees from the terrace of your exclusive tent, from the swimming pool whilst enjoying a cool drink after a walk with a Maasai guide, or whilst you enjoy a delicious dinner under the stars.

Situated in the ecosystem of Lake Manyara, in fields of golden vegetation, Maramboi Tented Camp brings together premium services, exclusive attentions, and genuine hospitality in a spectacular scene.

The camp has 38 spacious tented rooms individually built on a raised deck with an en-suite bathroom. There are six family rooms, perfect for guests with children. The bathrooms have a built-in shower and each tent has its own terrace from where guests can enjoy views of Lake Manyara and the Rift Valley.

The camp has a main area built on a raised deck, which is perfect so as not to lose anything that’s happening round about. This is where the dining room and lounge are situated. The lounge has comfortable sofas and armchairs and a selection of board games are available.

Every evening a fire is lit where guests can relax and enjoy the sunset whilst enjoying a drink and if the weather is good, guests can have dinner outside under the stars. The camp also has a swimming pool, a living room, and a souvenir shop.

Tloma Lodge

Tloma Lodge has been built on the foothills of the highlands of Ngorongoro, a small and exclusive lodge with 24 small cottages built in colonial style and 12 rooms overlooking the garden in the main building. The design of the entire complex looks to create an atmosphere evoking the colonial plantations and farms described in many books and films.

The excellent location of Tloma on the top of a valley offers fantastic views over a coffee plantation and the walls of the Ngorongoro Crater which can be enjoyed from the private terraces of the rooms. The gardens, full of flowers and bushes, are particularly attractive, although guests find it difficult to choose between a walk around the gardens or relax around the heated pool.

Tloma has 36 cottages with spacious en-suite rooms with a private bathroom with shower. The cottages are connected with one another by pathways. All the rooms have a private terrace with seating with views of the Ngorongoro highlands. Large double or triple bedrooms with mosquito nets are available.

The main building has a comfortable leisure area with a restaurant and a large terrace which offers impressive views of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The large garden is ideal for a walk. Guests can enjoy the excellent homemade meals made daily with fresh products from the farm’s gardens and served as a buffet. Depending on the weather, dinners are served on the terrace.

Note: The rooms’ availability in the proposed lodges will be confirmed at the time of booking. Early booking is recommended, especially for arrivals in high season.

Lake Manyara National Park

Lake Manyara National Park covers an area of 390 square kilometers. The center of the park is a ground water reservoir which is partially fed by small rivers flowing down the steep slopes. There are hot water springs which appeared during the formation of the Great Rift Valley.

The lake attracts huge flocks of birds. Thousands of flamingos gather here, their pink plumage reflected beautifully in the waters of the lake. Other species of birds found here include pelicans, storks, sacred ibis, and Egyptian geese. It is here that visitors can watch tree climbing lions that spend hours resting on the branches of the acacia trees, three to seven meters above the ground.

Ngorongoro Crater

Ngorongoro Crater is popularly known as the eighth wonder of the world. It covers an area of 259 square kilometers (100 square miles). The walls of the crater are 610 meters high, which makes it the largest intact crater in the world. It is home to about 25,000 larger mammals, almost half of them zebras and gnus.

There are also buffaloes, gazelles, elands, and warthogs. Such vast numbers naturally attract many predators, mainly lions, leopards, cheetahs, and hyenas. The crater is also well known for its hugely diverse bird life. More than 100 species of birds not found anywhere in the Serengeti have been spotted here.

Whereas the temperature on the rim of the crater is usually chilly and the atmosphere foggy, half way down the crater it brightens up. At the bottom of the crater the temperature is as warm as in the savanna.

Tarangire National Park

The park covers an area of approximately 2,600 square kilometers. It is at its most spectacular during the dry seasons, in the months of January to March and July to October, when animals migrate from the arid southern Maasai land in their search for the last remaining sources of water in and near Tarangire River.

The park is also famous as the home of the larger kudus. As in most of the national parks in the northern circuit, visitors can also discover black rhinos, gerenuk, and impalas.
