Safari Tour in Kenya

This is a 6-day safari commencing from Nairobi to the famous Maasai Mara National Reserve (for the great migration).Then you'll head onto Lake Nakuru, a lake with more than 250 bird species. You'll then drive via Nairobi to Amboseli National Park, the park which offers the best view of the highest mountain in Africa. Finally, you'll go back to Nairobi.

Lenchada Tourist Camp is a budget semi-luxury accommodation and eco-friendly safari tented camp in the northwest of the Masai Mara. Located on the Oloolaimutia hills on the Western border of this world-famous reserve, Lenchada Tourist Camp offers the perfect starting point for your safari.

The camp accommodates 21 persons in single, double, and triple accommodations. Each of these accommodation options suit to different traveler’s needs but the high standards of service are maintained throughout the camp no matter what option you choose.

The friendly receptionists are available and can deal with any of your inquiries and questions and furnish you with all the up-to-date information on various tour activities in Masai Mara as well as bookings, no matter what activity you are looking at doing from game drives, balloon safaris, walking, trekking, and cultural visits.

Lenchada Tourist Camp has en-suite bathrooms with hot and cold water, a western toilet, changing rooms, and lockers for valuables. The tent canvas wall front can be opened completely to allow an open view from the sleeping and bathroom areas. A generator is provided to charge phones and cameras from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m.

Amboseli at AA Lodge Amboseli

AA Lodge Mara is located at the world-famous Maasai Mara Game Reserve in the South Western part of Kenya. It’s located 4 kilometers from Sekenani main gate and 10 minutes drive from Siana Springs Air strip. It is 255 kilometers from Nairobi, a 1-hour flight from Nairobi, and a 4-hour drive from Nairobi on the new tarmac road.

The lodge is spread over 30 acres of land, uniquely laid out over the sprawling grounds that include rolling manicured greens, a virtual mini forest of indigenous shrubs and exotic trees, a large swimming pool overlooking the lodge bonfire, the main restaurant, and bar. The lodge has 42 classic tents, 36 cottages, a main restaurant, a bar, and several dining options.

Program

Day 1: Nairobi to Amboseli

Depart Nairobi and head south through Masai country towards the Amboseli National Park where the snow-capped Mount Kilimanjaro majestically dominates the area. Arrival is around lunchtime. The drive through the national park before reaching the lodge gives a chance to spot elephants, lions, and other plains game. Afternoon game drives to search for wildlife against the backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro. Dinner and overnight at a budget package: AA Lodge/similar.

Day 2: Amboseli full day tour

You will rise early and take off for a morning game drive with some amazing views of Mount Kilimanjaro before the clouds build up over the summit. A packed lunch will be provided during the drive. An optional visit to a Masai village can be planned after breakfast. This tour reveals the singing and dancing of the Masai that are part of their daily lives and sacred rituals. You will also get a glimpse into their homes and social structure. Despite its changing habitat, Amboseli National Park is one of the best wildlife areas in the whole of Africa to experience elephants at close range. Later in the evening, you will return to the camp for dinner and your overnight stay at a budget package: AA Lodge/similar.

Day 3: Amboseli to Lake Nakuru

After breakfast, you will check out and drive to Lake Nakuru National Park. You will arrive at the Lake Nakuru Lodge where you will check in and have lunch. After lunch, you will embark on a game drive around the shores of Lake Nakuru. This game drive will provide the best bird-watching and viewing of black and white rhinos. Later in the evening, you will return to the lodge for dinner and your overnight stay at. Dinner and accommodation budget package: Lanet Matfam resort/Buraha Hotel.

Day 4: Lake Nakuru to Masai Mara

An early bird and game viewing drive as you exit the Lake Nakuru National Park. You will proceed to the Masai Mara game reserve and arrive in the mid-afternoon. Afterward, make your way on an afternoon game-viewing drive. Dinner and accommodation at a budget camping Lenchada package/similar.

Day 5: Masai Mara (option hot air balloon safari USD 540 per person)

Today shall be a game-viewing extravaganza! Masai Mara Game Reserve remains the most exciting wildlife ecosystem. It is host to the highest and most varied concentration of wild animals than any other wildlife park in the region. Dinner and accommodation at a budget camping Lenchada package/similar.

Day 6: Masai Mara to Nairobi

You will start your day with an early pre-breakfast game viewing drive. You will then depart Masai Mara with an exit game viewing drive. Afterward, you will proceed to your Nairobi Hotel or Nairobi Airport and arrive in the late afternoon. The safari cost is per person sharing in an open-up safari minivan and in a double/twin room. The safari can start at any park depending on the availability of the accommodation.
