Located on the plains of Mount Kenya, Comfort Gardens is right at the entrance of Ol Pejeta Conservancy — Rongai gate. It is conveniently located 30 minutes from the Nanyuki air strip, 25 minutes from Nanyuki sports club and a 3-hour drive from Nairobi.

The resort not only provides a serene environment for relaxation, but also a magnificent view of the conservancy which has a higher wildlife-to-area ratio than any of Kenya's national parks. The decor is modern and tasteful providing both the feeling of home comfort and the adventure of an African getaway.

The resort also provides a perfect stay for guests who are in transit to Meru National Park, Mount Kenya, Ol Jogi, Mau Cave, and many other exiting touristic destinations around the area.

Buraha Zenoni Hotel or similar

Situated in Nakuru, 19 km from Lake Elementaita, Buraha Zenoni Hotel and Resort features accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a terrace. The property has a bar, as well as a restaurant serving African cuisine. The accommodation provides a 24-hour front desk, airport transfers, a kids' club and free WiFi throughout the property.

Rhino Tourist Camp

Located on the slopes of the Oloolamuita Hills, this Maasai Mara accommodation offers magnificent views across the eastern reaches of the park. The camp is one kilometer from Ololaimutia Gate and seven kilometers from Sekenani Gate.

The campsite has a total of 70 rooms with the option of single, double, triple, and family occupancy. There are 30 rooms made of stone for guests. The walled rooms are meant for guests who worry about their security and those having children. The remaining units are tented rooms ideal for travelers looking to be true to the wild experience.

The tents are linked by a pathway neatly framed by well-maintained flower bushes, manicured lawns, and flanked by indigenous trees. The rooms are fronted by a private veranda ideal for relaxing and giving one the feeling of truly experiencing the tranquility of the bush. Each suite is fitted with mosquito nets and an en-suite bathroom with showers, flush toilets, and a washbasin.

Program

Day 1: Nairobi - Ol Pejeta Conservancy

On the first day of the safari, you will be picked up from your hotel in Nairobi or at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport upon arrival by a safari guide. After a warm welcome and a short briefing, you will embark on a journey to Ol Pejeta Conservancy situated between the foothills of the Aberdares Ranges and the magnificent snow-capped peaks of Mount Kenya.

Ol Pejeta conservancy hosts an astounding variety of wildlife including all the members of the Big Five that are black and white rhinos, leopards, elephants, Cape buffaloes, and lions among others. You will arrive in time for lunch at your lodge and in the afternoon, you will for a game drive in the pristine wilderness of the conservancy. The game lasts from 16:00 to 18:30. Then return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Ol Pejeta Conservancy - Lake Nakuru

Wake up early for a cup of coffee and head to the conservancy for a game drive between 06:30 to 08:30 exploring and enjoying sights of animals. Return to the lodge / camp for breakfast, then check out and embark on a journey to Lake Nakuru National Park. Arrive in time for lunch at the lodge / camp. Later, proceed to the park for an afternoon game drive.

Lake Nakuru National Park is one of the beautiful and most popular wildlife destinations in Kenya known for hosting large numbers of pink flamingoes and a huge population of black and white rhinos. Lake Nakuru is among the highlight features in the park situated on the floor of the Great Rift Valley surrounded by wooded and bushy grasslands.

During the game drive, you will enjoy the wide ecological diversity and varied habitats ranging from Lake Nakuru, the surrounding escarpment, picturesque ridges and animals such as black and white rhinos, cape buffalo, Africa wild dog, zebra, eland, waterbuck, lions, and rare Rothschild’s giraffe among others.

Day 3: Lake Nakuru - Masai Mara National Reserve

After breakfast, you will check out of the lodge and depart for Maasai Mara National Reserve. Along the way, you will have a stopover at the viewpoint of the Great Rift Valley for splendid views of the escarpments and take amazing pictures. You will have another stopover in Narok town for an interaction with the local people and buy locally made items and fresh fruits from the market centers. Arrive in the reserve in time for lunch after checking into your lodge.

In the afternoon, you will go for a game drive exploring the endless plains of Maasai Mara National Reserve – a world-famous reserve. During the game drive, you will be able to see a wide range of wildlife including zebras, wildebeests, gazelles, lions, cheetahs, leopards, and African wild dogs among others. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Full day in Maasai Mara National Reserve

Have breakfast and head to the reserve for a full day game drive with your packed lunch. On this day, you will explore the endless plains of the reserve on morning and afternoon game drives and have picnic lunch.

During the game drive you be able to watch a wide ray of animals such as lions, zebras, wildebeests, gazelles, giraffes, African wild dogs, elephants, leopards, rhinos, and many bird species. At lunch time, you will have picnic lunch set along Mara River or hippo pool.

In the afternoon, you will go for another game drive exploring the park and enjoying sights of other animals and birds. You can also participate in optional activities such as hot air balloon offering you aerial views of the reserve and visiting the Masai people in their villages situated along the borders of the reserve. In the Masai community, you will learn about the traditions, cultures, and norms of the Maasai people.

Day 5: Masaai Mara National Reserve - Nairobi

Have early breakfast and head to the reserve for an early game drive exploring the park more and looking out for predators such as lions, leopards, cheetahs, and African wild dogs as they are returning from hunting. You will return to your lodge for breakfast, then check out and embark on a journey back to Nairobi. You will be dropped off either at your hotel or at the airport for your departure flight back home.
