First night - Jambo Campsite (or similar)

This campsite is conveniently located in the Mto Wa Mbu village, not far from the gate to Lake Manyara National Park. It features well-maintained gardens and spotless en-suite rooms in two-story houses. Each room has a television, fridge, and terrace or balcony. There's also a swimming pool, restaurant, and baobab tree bar. The campsite has a spacious camping ground with good ablution facilities. Hot and cold showers are both available.

Second and third nights - Seronera Campsite (or similar)

The public campsites which are collectively called Seronera Campsite are located in the Central Serengeti area known as the Seronera. Seronera Campsite is one of the most famed campsites in Tanzania for animal encounters. Animals will pass through the campsite at night on their nocturnal wanderings. This campsite is guarded. Tents have mats, and bathrooms are outside the tent.

Fourth night - Simba Campsite (or similar)

Simba Campsite lies on the very rim of Ngorongoro Crater and has an excellent view across the caldera. A fantastic sunrise over the crater rim makes a fine breakfast scene. Often, there are elephants wandering around the camp. This campsite is guarded.

Tents have mats, and bathrooms are outside the tent. Facilities at Simba Campsite are basic, but this is more than made up for by the atmosphere of this camp in the clouds.

Day 1: Arusha to Lake Manyara National Park

  • Stop at: Lake Manyara National Park, Tanzania

This morning you'll head to Lake Manyara, an ancient soda lake in the Great Rift Valley, for some game viewing. The game in this beautiful national park is plentiful and the magnificent bird watching will make a devotee out of even the most reluctant. It is also one of the very few places in Africa to see the famous tree-climbing lions. Manyara’s great colonies of pink flamingoes will also delight.

Day 2: Lake Manyara National Park - Serengeti National Park

  • Stop at: Serengeti National Park, Tanzania

You will set out for the endless open plains and stunning skies of Serengeti National Park - a famous migration corridor and UNESCO World heritage site. En route, you stop at Olduvai Gorge, the “cradle of mankind”, where the Leakey family uncovered the fossil of Homo habilis who lived 1.75 million years ago.

Day 3: Full day at Serengeti National Park

  • Stop at: Serengeti National Park, Tanzania

Today will be the "Serengeti game viewing day". After breakfast venture into the endless open plains of Serengeti National Park wilderness for a full day game drive with picnic lunches brought along with you. You will discover why the fabled Serengeti typifies the dream of “Old Africa”. Large prides of lions, elephants, giraffes, gazelles, monkeys, elands laze in the tall grasses; and the whole range of African wildlife present themselves in awe-inspiring numbers.

Day 4: Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro Crater

  • Stop At: Ngorongoro Crater, Ngorongoro, Ngorongoro Conservation Area Tanzania

Wake up at 6 a.m. for early morning game drives in Serengeti before breakfast. Then after breakfast check out and take your picnic lunch box. Enjoy some last game viewing in Serengeti National Park en route to the world famous Ngorongoro Crater rim. Upon arrival, settle down at your stunning camp, situated on the rim of the crater. Be prepared for some remarkable views down onto the world’s largest, unflooded and unbroken caldera!

Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater Floor to Arusha

  • Stop At: Arusha Airport Kisongo - ARK, Arusha, Tanzania

Today you descend 2,000 feet into the giant caldera of this extinct volcano. This magnificent natural amphitheater contains the largest concentration of animals in all of Africa. The rich pasture and permanent water on the crater floor supports a population of some 20,000 to 25,000 large mammals. Prides of lion, black rhino and elephant share this land with the legendary Maasai tribesmen. Because the grasses are short, game is easily spotted and can be approached quite closely. Uniquely beautiful, you will never see anything like it again. They will drop you off at your accommodation in Arusha.
