Lenchada Tourist Camp is a budget semi-luxury accommodation and eco-friendly safari tented camp in the north-west of the Masai Mara. Located on the Oloolaimutia hills on the Western border of this world-famous reserve, Lenchada Tourist Camp offers the perfect starting point for your safari.

The camp accommodates 21 persons in single, double, and triple accommodation. Each of these accommodation options suits to different traveler’s needs but the high standards of service is maintained throughout the camp no matter what option you choose. The friendly receptionists are available and can deal with any of your inquiries and questions and furnish you with all the up to date information on various tour activities in Masai Mara as well as bookings, no matter what activity you are looking at doing from game drives, balloon safaris, walking, trekking, and cultural visits.

Lenchada Tourist Camp has en-suite bathrooms with hot and cold water, western toilets, changing rooms, and lockers for valuables. The tent canvas wall front can be opened completely to allow an open view from the sleeping and bathroom areas. A generator is provided to charge phones and cameras from 6:00 p.m to 10:00 pm and 6:00 a.m to 8:00 a.m.

Program

Day 1: Nairobi / Maasai Mara

Depart from Nairobi towards Maasai Mara via Rift Valley viewpoint where you will have a stop over for sightseeing weather permitting. Arrive in the tented camp in time for lunch and later enjoy a game drive in this breathtaking land where everything is big. Look for the big five as well as the plain game such as the gnus that are abundant. Overnight and dinner at tented camp.

Day 2: Maasai Mara (optional hot air balloon safari)

Enjoy a full day game viewing in the rolling grass of Mara with endless plain where more than two million wild beast gnu’s are migrating from Serengeti in Tanzania with their calves. Visit the banks of Mara River to try and spot the hippos. Optional visit to a Maasai village to learn their unchanged culture. Overnight and dinner at tented camp.

Day 3: Maasai Mara / Nairobi

Have a morning drive to try and search for what you have not spotted before returning to the camp for lunch and checkouts. Say ‘kwaheri’ a Swahili word for good-bye to the pastoral Maasai as you depart for Nairobi to catch a flight at the airport on your way back home
