Day 1: Nairobi - Maasai Mara
Pick up from a confirmed point either at the hotel or the airport and get transferred to the departure point where you will start your safari. The safari starts at around 8 a.m. with two stopovers one at the viewpoint to witness the Rift Valley and the other at Narok town for the final shopping. Proceed to Maasai Mara Miti Mingi eco-camp in time for lunch.
Later proceed for an evening introductory game drive where you familiarize yourself with the park surroundings, spot a few animals, and witness the sunset. This marks the first day of your five days Mara, Nakuru, and Naivasha safari Return to the camp for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Maasai Mara full day safari
Wake up very early and have your breakfast then proceed to the reserve. By 6:30 a.m. you should be entering the park so as to maximize the full-day safari as well as get a chance to witness the sunrise which is so beautiful and refreshing.
During the full-day game drive you have an option of seeing all the big five that is the buffalo, the leopard, the lion, the elephant as well as other small and large animals such as the topi antelope and the wild beast.
From June to October, you can have the opportunity to witness the great wild beast migration which happens once a year and is a phenomenal sight to see. You will have your picnic lunch at the Mara River where the migration takes place and have an opportunity to see the hippos and the crocodiles as they laziness around the river.
You will later go to the Kenya-Tanzania border as you continue with game viewing till the sun sets. Return to the camp for dinner and overnight
Day 3: Maasai Mara - Lake Nakuru
Wake up a bit relaxed after the full-day safari and have your breakfast. Check out of your rooms and go for the Maasai village experience to learn about their culture as well as see them dance and listen to their songs. They teach you how to light a fire without using matches.
Later proceed to Nakuru with an optional boat ride which entails kayaking in an African way as well as enjoying the prolific bird life around Lake Naivasha. Arrive in your hotel in the evening for dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Lake Nakuru - Hell's Gate
Wake up very early in the morning, after your breakfast check out of your room and proceed for a game drive at your second destination in the Mara, Nakuru, Naivasha safari. In the morning as the sun rises lake Nakuru has a pink appearance due to the pink color of the flamingos which gives you very nice pictures.
Lake Nakuru National Park is known to be a rhino sanctuary where the white and black rhinos thrive. There are all kinds of animals in Lake Nakuru National Park among them leopards, cheetahs, and hippos among others. Later exit the park and proceed to Naivasha where you will check in to your rooms and spend the rest of the afternoon at leisure. Dinner and overnight at your hotel.
Day 5: Hell's Gate - Nairobi
After breakfast you will check out of your rooms and proceed to Hell’s Gate National Park which is the only park in Kenya where you can have a walking safari since it does not have predators. There is an optional bike ride here where you do cycling as you enjoy the view of the zebras. Buffaloes, giraffes, and elands among others.
Hell’s Gate is where the famous Lion King movie was acted in. Also at the Fishers Tower, you can feed the rock hyrax as they are in large numbers here. Exit the park and proceed back to Nairobi having your lunch on the way. This marks the end of your Mara, Nakuru, Naivasha safari.
