The lodge offers affordable luxury accommodation from rooms to tents, restaurant with most varieties of cuisine, bar with varieties of drinks, camping facilities, game drive facilities, and conferences.

Day 1. Dar es Salaam - Mikumi

At 6 a.m., pick up clients at Hotel Dar es Salaam and drive to Mikumi National Park for 6 or 7 hours with one stop at Msolwa for bites and a cold drink before continuing with the safari after you check in. You will have lunch and then 3 hours to relax before an evening tour to Maasai village.

During your Maasai Village Tour, you’ll see how these semi-nomadic people grow their crops, learn how they prepare and store food, observe interesting local business activities, and so much more. Be welcomed into one of the homesteads in the village. The village huts, called Manyatta, are made of cow dung and clay plastered over stick frames. This is quite practical, as the Maasai maintain cattle herds and the dung is always in generous supply, and it's free. One of your hosts will give you an insight into Maasai life. Some of them may not speak English but our guides will interpret for you and the elders so that stories may be exchanged. This is a wonderful opportunity to learn about the history and lifestyle of these Maasai. You may ask as many questions as you like and take photographs. After the tour, they will say goodbye with songs and dances, at certain times, one of the dancers will jump up and down gracefully. The jumps are several feet high! You will be invited to try jumping too and, to your dismay, you will be no match for their levitation act. Overnight staying at the Mikumi Adventure Lodge.

Day 2 - Full game drive

In the morning, after breakfast, leave for a full game drive with a picnic lunch. Mikumi, a relatively small (3230 square kilometers) national park lies 300 kilometers west of Dar-es-Salaam and is the closest park to the capital. It is nestled between the Uluguru Mountains to the east and the Rift Valley escarpments in the Southwest. Although less spectacular regarding flora and fauna, the Mikumi National Park makes for a good impression of the African animal world and is suitable very well for a short visit.

There is a rich variety bird species as well as large numbers of giraffes, buffaloes, and elephants, and close to the water holes you can also see zebras, lions, wild dogs, pythons, hartebeest, wildebeest, elephants, impala, warthog, eland, and antelope. Dinner and overnight will be at Mikumi Adventure lodge.

Day 3 - Mimkumi – Dar es Salaam

In the morning, after breakfast, walk to Mikumi Genesis snake park and do a 2-hour morning zoo tour. Later, you will experience an en-route game drive as you slowly drive along the main road of Mikumi National Park {50 kilometers) from gate to gate so you can take pictures. Then, drive to Dar es Salaam, where you will arrive in the late evening and be dropped off at a shop or the airport, as you decide.

The Mikumi National Park near Morogoro, Tanzania, was established in 1964. It covers an area of 3,230 square kilometers and is the fourth largest in the country. The park is crossed by Tanzania's A-7 highway. The Mikumi is bordered to the south with the Selous Game Reserve, the two areas forming a unique ecosystem. Two other natural areas bordering the national park are the Udzungwa Mountains and Uluguru Mountains.

The landscape of Mikumi is often compared to that of the Serengeti. The road that crosses the park divides it into two areas with partially distinct environments. The area north-west is characterized by the alluvial plain of the river basin Mkata. The vegetation of this area consists of savannah dotted with acacia, baobab, tamarinds, and some rare palm.
