Your private driver-guide will pick you at the hotel at 8:00 a.m. and you depart to Tarangire National Park. The park runs along the line of the Tarangire River and is mainly made up of low-lying hills on the Great Rift Valley floor. Its natural vegetation mainly consists of Acacia woodland and giant African Baobab trees, with huge swamp areas in the south. Both the river and the swamps act like a magnet for wild animals, during Tanzania's dry season.

The Tarangire National Park is reputed to contain some of the largest elephant herds in Africa. This African National Park is also home to three rare species of animals - the Greater Kudu, the Fringed-eared Oryx, as well as a few Ashy Starlings. After a picnic lunch, you do an afternoon game drive and in the late afternoon, you drive to your camp for dinner and overnight.

  • Accommodation: Farm of Dreams Lodge or Tloma Lodge
  • Meal plan: Lunch and dinner

Day 2: Drive to Serengeti National Park

After an early breakfast, you head towards the Serengeti National Park, via the beautiful high lying farmland of Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Leaving the highlands behind, you descend into the heart of wild Africa the Serengeti National Park with its endless plains, rolling into the distance as far as the eye can see. You head to the central park area, known as the Seronera area, one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park, featuring the Seronera River, which provides a valuable water source to this area and therefore attracts wildlife well representative of most of the Serengeti's species.

You arrive in time for lunch and enjoy an afternoon game drive in the Serengeti National Park until late afternoon when you will drive back to the comfort of your tent in the middle of Serengeti for dinner and overnight.

  • Accommodation: Tukaone Serengeti Camps or Katikati Tented Camp
  • Meal plan: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner

Day 3: More actions in the Serengeti Plains

Waking up in the Serengeti is something really special. Sights, sounds, and smells of Africa are all around you, and ahead is a full day of adventure in the world's most famous national park. After breakfast, you start today with the morning section of your game drive in Serengeti National Park, tracing the Big 5. You will proceed with game drives in these endless plains, until late afternoon as you find your way back to the comfort of your tented camp.

Serengeti's wonders evolve subtly as the day progresses. The myriad animals and birds are the 'stars of the show' and nature's dramas can unfold at any time. Of course, the animals don't work on any schedule, so you may find lion or leopard, elephant and zebra, cheetah and antelope at any time on your drives. In the late afternoon after full of game drives, return to your tented camp for dinner and overnight.

  • Accommodation: Tukaone Serengeti Camps or Katikati Tented Camp

Ngorongoro Crater is often referred to as a wonder of the world and your game drives in the crater will show you why. First, there's the volcanic caldera (the world's largest), full of grassland, forest, and swamp, a setting of jaw-dropping beauty. Secondly, the permanent water of the crater floor supports a resident population of more than 25,000 large mammals. There, you'll find many of the reasons you chose to come on safari because there is very high possibility to spot all the Big 5 within one day: elephant, lion, leopard, hyena, jackal, wallowing hippo, waterbuck, baboons, even the rare black rhino finds shelter there.

In the late afternoon after a full day of game drives, you ascend the crater and drive to your hotel for hot shower, dinner, and overnight

This national park is one of Tanzania's most dramatically located wildlife areas, consisting of a massive but shallow soda lake (covering two-thirds of the park), located at the foot of the Great Rift Valley's western escarpment.
