Day 3: Whole day in Serengeti + sundowner yoga
Today, enjoy game drives in the Serengeti, which is internationally renowned for its incredible wildlife and home to herds of wildebeest and other grazing animals. The Serengeti supports a magnificent diversity and abundance of animals, from the Big 5 (lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and black rhino) to giraffe, impala, kongoni, topi, and eland.
Its unique combination of diverse habitats enables it to support more than 30 species of large herbivores and nearly 500 species of birds. Its landscape, originally formed by volcanic activity, has been sculpted by the concerted action of wind, rain, and sun. It now varies from open grass plains in the south, savannah with scattered acacia trees in the center, and hilly wooded grassland in the north, to extensive woodlands and black clay plains to the west. Small rivers, lakes, and swamps are scattered throughout. It is best known for its large predators, like lions, cheetahs, leopards, serval cats, wild dogs, jackals, and spotted hyenas.
You’ll have a bush lunch while you continue your wonderful game drives, and you can return to your lodge for sunset yoga, dinner, and overnight.
As the sun sets, find room on your mat. Tonight’s therapeutic moves will allow you to delve inward and become acquainted with your body as you link your breath and have a deeper connection with nature.
