The 6 Days Uganda Gorilla Trekking and Wildlife Safari is a blend of wildlife and gorilla experience. It features the most popular Uganda safari destination of Queen Elizabeth National Park.
The park is famous for its counts of wild game including the lions both land-dwelling and tree-climbing, African elephants, the Cape Buffaloes, the Uganda Kobs, waterbucks, spotted hyenas, leopards, and side-striped jackals.
Additionally, you will visit the aquatics of Kazinga Channel where one of the world’s biggest concentrations of Hippos occur, and the Nile Crocodile which is the second largest reptile on the world scale.
The safari also features mountain gorilla trekking in the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, a habitat with a minimum of 400 mountain gorillas which is close to half of the 880 numbers that are known to thrive in the world.
The magical hills offer impressive scenery and a sightseeing experience. The recreation encounters on Lake Bunyonyi, known as the "lake of a thousand islands" because of its 29 islands, present moments of rejuvenation following a day-long gorilla trekking experience.

Day 1: Transfer from Kampala to Bwindi National Park
Hopefully, your flight is scheduled for an early morning landing in Uganda. Your safari will start from Entebbe airport where you will be picked up by your driver/guide who will brief you about your tour and then depart for Bwindi Impenetrable national park. Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is a big habitat for mountain gorillas in Uganda harboring over 500 of them, more reason why it should be your safari destination.
The drive will take you to southwest Uganda by road, cross the Equator for impressive photography then to Mbarara for Lunch at the Igongo Cultural Centre and through savannah grasslands to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The scenic drive through Kigezi Highlands (commonly referred to as “the Switzerland of Uganda”) and banana plantations take you to the gorilla Sanctuary of Bwindi NP. You will arrive in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and will mainly do little but just check in your accommodation, and relax as you prepare for the Bwindi gorilla trekking experience the next day.

The area offers a dramatic steeply forested landscape and is incredibly dense, but crisscrossed by numerous animal trails allowing access to tourists. The time is taken and the terrain varies with the movements of these great primates. Once you locate a gorilla group, you will be allowed an hour in their presence. The thrill of spending time observing these gentle and endangered giants is an awesome, exciting experience to be long-savored.
Return to your lodge. Have your lunch and thereafter check out for a transfer to Lake Bunyonyi. Lake Bunyonyi is framed by lush, green-terraced hills that reach a height of (2,200 – 2,478 m) but it’s the 29 islands of various shapes and sizes scattered across the water that make it most magical — you could admire them all day.

After having your lovely lunch and little relaxation, you will embark on a remarkable afternoon game drive in search of the park's mammals including lions, leopards, elephants, hyenas, bush pigs, monkeys, warthogs, antelopes of different kinds. Remember, Queen Elizabeth offers stunning views of the Rwenzori Mountains.
Then it is time to return to your accommodation for relaxation and lunch. Do not forget to change your camera batteries since you will be going on a boat trip which is the park’s highlight for every visitor. The Kazinga Channel is shared by Lake Edward and Lake Gorge, running 40 kilometers between the two lakes.
In the afternoon, you will have a boat ride or boat cruise. The channel is home to many birds seen in the middle of the boat cruise, a school of hippopotami, buffaloes, and warthogs. Nothing like the swarms of pelicans on the shore, birds flying all over the channel, and the boat taking you slowly as you take your Uganda wildlife pictures along the shores. A rewarding game viewing in the afternoon, to say the least.
