During this safari vacation, you will stay in several accommodation located in Cape Town, Stellenbosch, Hermanus, Plettenberg Bay, and Addo Elephant National Park.

Program

This safari vacation will start in Cape Town. Continuously voted to be one of the world’s most favorite city to visit, Cape Town will give you a great start to your adventure. This town will give you the perfect entry into South Africa with all the opportunities surrounding and in the city. Must-see landmarks such as Table Mountain, Cape Point, Waterfront, Camps Bay, etc. will be visited.

The tour will include a visit to South Africa’s oldest wine route in Stellenbosch for wine tastings, cellar tours, and lunch on the vineyards. After having wine tastings, you will head towards Hermanus which is the number one land-based whale watching capital where you can stroll along the cliffs and see loads of whales below. Then, you will take an ocean safari to get up close and personal with humpback and southern right whales.

You will continue to Mossel Bay to get in the water with great white sharks, then to Knysna and Plettenberg Bay which have always been voted as South Africa’s favorite holiday destinations. The opportunities for adventure and sightseeing opportunities in both towns are endless. After the coastal regions have satisfied your holiday needs, you will further have the adventure tour in a big-five safari region for two nights at Addo Elephant National Park.

Itinerary

Day 1: Cape Town

You will land at Cape Town International Airport (CPT) and be welcomed by Freewalker Adventure Travel’s guides. Then, you will be transferred to the accommodation where you will stay for 3 nights. In the afternoon / evening, you will explore V&A Waterfront and enjoy dinner in this place.

Day 2: Cape Town

You will get your breakfast in the accommodation. On this second day, you will have a chance to experience Table Mountain cable car experience. Your dinner will be in town or waterfront

Day 3: Cape Town

In the early morning, you will depart to Simon’s Town. There, you will enjoy Great White Shark cage diving experience off Seal Island. Breakfast / brunch will be at Simon’s Town harbor. Thereafter, you will visit Cape Point located in Southernmost tip of Africa). Later, you will have lunch at Two Oceans Restaurant overlooking False Bay, Chapman's Peak peninsula drive, as well as sunset drinks and dinner at Camps Bay.

Day 4: Stellenbosch

On day 4, you will get breakfast in the accommodation. Then, you will depart for Stellenbosch which is the oldest wine route in South Africa. There, you will enjoy wine tastings, food pairings, cellar tours, and lunch on the vineyards. Afterward, you will check in to stay in an accommodation for 1 night. In the afternoon, you can stroll around the town and do shopping. Your dinner will be in this town.

Day 5: Hermanus

You will enjoy breakfast in the accommodation. After that, you will depart for Franschhoek wine region which is South Africa’s largest privately-owned motor museum on Rupert’s vineyard. Thereafter, you will drive to Hermanus and have lunch at Beintangs Cave on the coast. In the afternoon, you will enjoy whale watching ocean safari. After that, you will check in to stay in an accommodation for 1 night. In the evening, you will stroll along the coastal cliffs to savor dinner.

Day 6: Knysna

You will savor breakfast in the accommodation and then depart for Knysna. Your lunch will be at Knysna Waterfront. Then, you will go to an accommodation to check in. Your dinner will be on the coast or waterfront.

Day 7: Plettenberg Bay

You will have breakfast in the accommodation. Afterward, you will go outdoor to African crafts market and enjoy Knysna Heads viewpoints. Then, you will drive to Plettenberg Bay and check in to stay in an accommodation for 2 nights. In the afternoon, you will enjoy the island hike and sunset drinks overlooking the ocean. Your dinner will be on the coast or in the town.

Day 8: Plettenberg Bay

On day 8, you will have breakfast in the accommodation. Your lunch will be on the coast while dinner will be in the town.

Day 9: Addo Elephant National Park

As usual, you will savor breakfast in the accommodation. Thereafter, you will depart for Addo Elephant National Park. You will savor your lunch en-route and drive through Addo Elephant National Park. After that, you will check in to stay in an accommodation for 1 night. Your dinner will be served at Addo Elephant National Park.

Day 10: Safari

You will enjoy breakfast in the accommodation and depart for safari. Then, you will check in to stay in an accommodation for 2 nights. You will savor lunch during your safari. After that, you will enjoy afternoon game drive and sunset drinks. At night, you will have a game drive and dinner on your safari.

Day 11: Safari

On day 11, you will have an early morning game drive and savor breakfast in the accommodation. Then, you can relax in the safari facilities. You will get lunch on your safari. In the afternoon, you can enjoy optional activities such as guided game walk or game drive. Your final group dinner will be on safari.

Day 12: Departure

You will have breakfast in the accommodation. Then, you will depart for Port Elizabeth International Airport (PLZ).
